I actually bought this and it's great! It's definitely rough and I believe the results on here. But for my 4 small dogs who do exactly what they want to do, I couldn't get them to scratch it. But I wont lie, it's quality made and it got to me in a few days. I live in California, idk if that matters.

Nail grinders would actually get them rounded and smoothed…. Not a diss on your product but that’s just to prove you aren’t grinding them!! As a groomer you can see a difference and there’s nothing wrong with your method, honestly doing something is better than nothing. Xoxo much love
@@crownedking_cj8890cats also don’t scratch on literal sandpaper. They scratch on things like twine and cardboard because their flowers are thin. Cats also spend a lot of time grooming themselves and they are constantly chewing and pulling on their claws to get them perfect.
Grinders stink, heat up the nails and can be painful, and take forever (if you do it properly and don't let the nails over heat and risk hurting the dog). Clippers take 2 seconds.

The moment your dog swipes at it, you either get lucky and it only hits it with the nails or you get unlucky and it hits it with the pad too.. these arent really good and you basically leave it to the dog to decide how much to take off which can be too little to have clean nails or too much and the dog could hit the blood vessel inside the nail and then you need to go to the vet.. the reality is nothing comes close to learning how to clip nails yourself.. let your vet show it to you and dont invest money it stuff like this..

HOWEVER do not use the fact that you have a scratch board as an excuse to not continue conditioning your dog to having their nails clipped. It is a temporary solution, using it long term will bring more stress and pain to your dog.
Yep I agree but in her previous videos she explains how her dog is really uncomfortable when she attempts to cut the dog's nails so that's what she prefers but I just wanted to let you know why she used the board

I just bought one off of Amazon, can't wait for it to arrive and try it out on my girl. She hates clippers and grinders and it's a struggle at the VET unless we sedate her. Fingers crossed!

Great to see someone has made this into a commercial product. I made something quite similar for my each of my Bunnies as they have mostly lived inside. Took ages for me to teach the first one to "dig" there & not on the carpet. (& to not chew on it instead) Not because they damage the carpet but i hate clipping their nails (& so do they) & carpet doesn't work anyway. It can be traumatic just to catch them to go to a vet to get it done.🐇....
My brother did something like this for his dog. He went to Home Depot bought a piece of wood and some sand paper glued it together and basically recreated your product
My dog has werid claws like its easy to cut to short bc they are naturally black and the bleeding part is sooo long I cant order this to my country but I did my self a board and it dodint last long but helped me a Little I hope class wouldn grow fast bc remaking board for every paw its to pricely. Thanks for inspiration😅❤

Do you not walk your dog on the sidewalk?? They do the exact same thing. I havent had to cut either of my dogs nails in years, but i also take both of them for multiple mile walks daily.

those pads can absolutely DESTROY the foot pads of some dogs, anyone using this PLEASE CHECK DAILY to make sure that the only thing being filed is their nails and not the bottom of their feet!
Probably just a regular trimming, most dogs have a hard time using their dew claw in general so chances are it'd be easier to do it yourself than train them

Clearly you can see the eyes of nails that a grinder or a clipper did that grinder would not have the raised edges and clippers would be a clean cut

If you want a cheaper and faster product just go to your local hardware store and get some 60 or 80 grit sandpaper and glue it to a piece of wood

I'm worried about the abrasive scratch board against the sensitive paw pads. Perhaps you've already addressed this.
