Absolutely enjoyable vlog. I grew up in Tambaram in the middle of the last century and left at the age of 17. I have fond memories of Christ King Convent School with the adorable sisters, Corley High School and Madras Christian College School. I was a Madras Christian College campus kid and also studied at MCC. I did
have some Anglo Indian friends. They were sport loving wonderful individuals. They had a unique style. I lost touch with them at college level. Please keep up the good work of writing about the great Anglo Indians of Madras.

Very nicely done ! I lived in Tambaram for a short while as a child, the Jones family. I believe my older brother, Stephen Jones ( Bunny) in Australia now, is a close friend of one of you, Richard or Harry?
    hugs from Canada

Can you tell me about Discos in Madras in the 70's. I visited on during my Uni days, in a house on a Sunday arvo, live band.

Congratulations to mr harry McLlure and Mr peppers for singing the glories of the past but what can they do for the present generation who.are languishing in the state for want of good education because of the high cost of education to make matters worse, the reservation for anglo indian s now.the art 366 2 is of no value

I am Anglo Indian and married an Australian. My mother taught my wife to make kul-kuls and we still make them at Christmas, as well as thole-thole.

I have been following this series since it's inception. One of the best documentaries in UA-cam. This is how oral histories of communities should be documented. A small grouse though - the origins of the AIs in Chennai should have been given more focus. Thanks.
