- Hello friends! I’ve gotten so many requests on how to shuffle for beginners and where to start that I thought I’d create this beginner shuffle tutorial for you breaking down 5 very foundational moves in shuffling:

I'm a high school teacher. Hoping to get this down by prom in April. Thought my students would get a kick seeing their Auto Shop teacher shuffling away. LOL I'm pretty athletic but was having a hard time grasping this. Thank you for breaking it down so I understand what to do better. Especially the Polly Pocket!

Being in my seventies and naturally shuffling wherever I go, I thought I was at an advantage. But this is a lot harder than it looks! I think I'll slow the video down and and just keep trying. We had a lot of fun dances back in the sixties 😄
This is the most progressive, comprehensive breakdown I've seen so far. I actually was able to get the Polly pocket down my second time watching the video (1st time to just watch, second to try along with it). My problem has always been I've been kicking my leg backwards, instead of bringing my knee up into a high knee, and this video made it click. Thanks!
I wasn't really able to get into rhythm on previous running man attempts but when you said we can hop into it that completely kick started it for me!!! Omg!! Now I just need more practice to adjust the speed and a lot more endurance 🤩

@@madeleineaich2897 keep practicing girl! Flow definitely comes with practice and time. It happens when you know the moves so you well you don’t have to think about doing them… and also when you have really awesome music blasting that helps… like a lot a lot!

For a beginner like me, it'd be more helpful to have a solid minute or more of slow paced repetition. I need to be able to do the basic movement before trying to absorb any of the other information.
