That ritual was so beautiful! Thanks for demonstrating it. I have been doing LBRP almost daily followed by meditation. It’s been a game changer for me so far.
Synchronicity is in the air today, I performed LBRP (Damian Echols) for the first time today. I really appreciate seeing this rendition. One of the stories I made up was that I never had the privacy do such rituals. This has since changed. I am excited to delve further into more ritual magick. I live in Guatemala because I can live a comfortable life with my SSDI. Spinal cord injury but I can walk a ways with 2 canes. I am one of those zig zagging witches. I began studying Kabbalah in 2010 hoping for a fast track to understanding the magickal realm. I have had a fascinating experience getting here to this point.
I could literally sense the mana flowing through your finger out into the space around you the moment you started drawing the pentagram. Thank you for the explaination. Simple and clear~
Thank you so much for this feedback. 💕 Isn't it cool how energy is palpable even across time and distance?? I've recently done a series of initiations via Zoom, and it was incredible how clearly we could all feel each other! I should do a video on that! Online Witchery.
So intriguing how this ended up in my feed when only last night I had found my journals from 30 years ago on The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. As a witch who has always felt her niche was in Low Magick working, and not in High Magick ceremonial rituals, the LBRP along with some other personal strength pillar rituals, felt like something that should be adapted. I have no connections with any Angels or Demons or anything associated with either Bible so the original rituals felt disconnected. I love how you made this your own; think I will do the same.
Great adaptation. Years ago I was involved in the Craft before finding my way via the grimoire tradition via France. I admire what you do greatly, would love to see more of how trad craft and Ceremonial Magick intersect.
I really appreciated seeing your traditions adaption of the ritual. Hope that you will do more demo videos in the future as it was really great to see it in action.
I actually did the LBRP for a year. I was thinking of running through it once a month because it's been so long. That is a really cool adaptation. I love that you incorporated latent.
I like that you use different vocal modalities in the quarters ( a la Crowleys ”Star Ruby” ). Looks like a nice adaptation. I’m tempted to try it out for a change in ”flavour”.
Thank you so much!! It was definitely inspired by the Star Ruby -- which my ex-partner and I both favored. We just wanted something more closely aligned with our Craft.
Are we sure that the LBRP *originated* with the Golden Dawn? Because we do a similar ritual in Masonic Rosicrucianism, and it seems to be linked to older Masonic and Rosicrucian traditions of circle magick. I know that Freemasonry heavily influenced the OTO, and later, the Order of the Golden Dawn, with Rosicrucianism being a primary influence, so I had always assumed that they had taken that from us. It would be wild to learn that it was the other way around.
It's certainly possible! I'll defer to folks who are more invested in the history to sort that out. My research suggested (pretty universally) that what we think of as the LBRP came out of the original Order of the Golden Dawn, but there may have been older Masonic and Rosicrucian influences, for sure.
@@bladeandbroom You could be right! I'll dig in deeper and see what comes up. As a Rosicrucian Mason, it's fascinating to see the overlap between these traditions-especially because Rosicrucianism (while still concerned with the study of Magick) is such an overtly Christian organization.
That was absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your traditions adaptation. Our tradtions are very different but the framework looks basically the same. I always felt a bit insecure, you might say, with the way I have adapted the LBRP in my own eclectic tradtion. I have performed my adaptation several times, always with great success but it's always nice to have a little more validation. Seeing your traditions adaptation has made me feel much more confident with the way I do this ritual and teach my students..lol
It's the foundational cornerstone of western occultism. It's literally the first thing I learned. How do you make it this far in the occult without using it
Witchcraft is often more folkloric and less ceremonial by nature. Since this channel's content is aimed at witches, it's fair to think that many wouldn't have had that exposure. It all depends on the nature of one's practice. We're not all coming from the same place.
The first time I tried this ritual I became very nasus and lightheaded, it was very powerful, and something really went wonky with my body in a very physical way. I was able to fix some of it, but my head was swimming all day long. I ended up doing the Invoking form to try to stop the nasua, it helped but my head was swimming all day anyway. I did not do the verbal expression only the semantic jesters, being a witch, I decided I would want to use a more connective verbal expression, but being my first try wasn't sure what that might be, yet. Maybe that is why I felt that way?
I actually have heard of it, but never came to do the ritual not because I thought it wouldn't be useful, but because it looks so official- so I was more intimidated than anything else ahah (and kinda scared to fuck up also)
@@bladeandbroom I LOVE it! It contains so much knowledge. I did not read it cover to cover but it is an amazing reference. thank you for putting it out there. 🙏
Well ... I suppose it's because we recognize that we are complex, multi-faceted, multi-dimensional practitioners who want to explore our magick in nuanced and different ways. We know that practices are adaptable, and we get that we don't know what's for us if we don't try new things. And we don't let people who aren't involved in our practice define it for us.
Oh look - a baby 'magus' who thinks magick is a static thing, 'owned' by particular groups. Be careful, your ignorance is showing. The LBRP is an adaptation of a much older Jewish prayer. The Golden Dawn knew that adaptation and evolution were important currents in magickal practice. P.S. Thanks Laurelei for the great adaptation - it's always a pleasure to see wisdom shared by those with a true affinity for magick!
@Made4 Mystery that's absolutely inaccurate the verbiage is similar cus it hope induce a similar but more effective result but u wouldn't know that cus ur a Lowe magic user to worried about the mundane world and desires egotistical gratification...smh ps magic is a "static thing" its a current and u are NOT a part of it lol

I would love to see more Occult rituals adopted for witchcraft!
Any particular ones in mind?
Love it thank you

Thanks so much, Craig! I do have plans for more demos. 🥰✨
@@bladeandbroom I look forward to seeing them... and your usual content of course.😊
Does this get covered in course 1? I was never big into the more ceremonial side if things but this just felt right to me.
Yes, it sure is!

That's awesome! It really is a useful practice, and I think adapting it to mesh with one's Craft can really take it from good/useful to foundational.

Wow what a rip off from Golden dawn Magick.... why ate low magic practitioners worried about high magick??!?
