the art of kiting a paraglider:
groundhandling is great fun a gives you a deeper understanding of the behaviour of your glider in various winds.
sorry for the poor quality of the clip...
I could could have done better, but was in a hurry.

This is still my favorite paragliding video after all these years. The music brings out the magic of what you are doing. Thank you for all your videos.

When I first watched this video I was too inexperienced to understand and appreciate what was going on. Now that I have a little bit of kiting experience I can clearly see and understand everything you're doing. Thank you for posting this good video.

    That was pretty Zen.
The deft handling, the smooth and slow movements, and the relaxing music. Thank you!

Amazing! With skilz like that you could handle pretty much any event in the air! What a dreamy hill too!

I second that, thank you very much for sharing this. I'm just getting started into kiting & this helped me better understand weight shift on the ground. Now I see that almost all of my usual stalls & collapses on the ground can be avoided & managed and how. ;)

+SnowWolfJones I'm glad, that this clip could help you. I'm still wondering, why this topic is so well neglected in schooling . . . !

if everyone could handle a kite as deftly as I saw here, I can't see there ever being a need for motors and the like. It is possible to gain lift and fly without down-gliding, right?

Really good!! Just Understanding the wing you are under is so much more valuable to becoming a skillful pilot than striving through the A,B,C.D classes. I also like to test my location using the wing without being tied in so that I can judge if wind is too strong or gusty for safe ground handling up front, this helps to prevent being dragged or popped into the air by a rotor and slammed back down again.

how large is your wing? I'm asking because I wonder if these techniques are even possible with the wing I have. it's 29 sq mand it seems maybe too big sometimes. Thanks in advance. I just can't stop watching your videos.

I think I may have found my future sport. I really would love to learn how to free-fly by kite. Is there any advice you can offer me on getting started?
