Before the Sniper/Spy Update, Spy could taunt while invisible. They did not initially change this when they added the Spy's tauntkill. They quickly patched it so you couldn't start taunting while cloaked... but you could still cloak during a taunt with the Dead Ringer. It was fun to block a hallway with the DR up and taunt. People would see a taunting Spy, trigger your feign, walk into an invisible wall, and randomly die. If they figure out you feigned, the damage resistance was high enough that they generally couldn't stop you. Then they patched it so the Dead Ringer wouldn't cloak you during a taunt... but you could still taunt and cloak with the other watches if you timed it right. The best part was that engineers would see the damage from the first two swings, and when they went to wrench the building it wasn't unusual for them to get caught in the taunt as well. All have since been patched, but there was a surprisingly long period of time where I exclusively tauntkilled buildings instead of using a sapper. It might sound OP, but you have to dip out of cloak undisguised for a moment, be stationary in a very predictable space, give a warning in the form of two hits, and the timing window after the first couple patches required frame-perfect inputs to pull off.

Man, I wish there were more people like soundsmith when it comes to seeing an enemy chasing his teams medic. As a medic main myself, I have NEVER had a single person try to protect me when a pyro or scout chased me away from the group, and has gotten to the point where I’m almost about to quit. I’ve never had a single player consciously go ‘hold on, gotta go save the medic’ and I know I shouldn’t be getting emotional over a SOUNDSMITH VIDEO of all things, but like. Hearing that made me realize that maybe some people actually do care about their medics, and I shouldn’t quit doing what I like just because it could go unappreciated. Thank you.
As a Pichu main, I feel that the patch was too harsh. I would revert the knockback on it then extend the recoil for his F tilt. It will no longer be safe on shield and be a viable kill option when it hits.
