When the Ultra first came out I was wishing they had a black version. So I held off for a year and ended up getting the Ultra 2 and it’s grown on me. I also think the normal titanium matches better with more variety of color bands.

I like that it’s a satin black and not glossy like the Series 10 watch. The gloss will be noticeably scratched easily.

Thanks much! I would have loved BP monitor to have been in this update but my AW6 battery is on its last legs (barely survives a workday) so need to replace this soon.

The AWU is so close to being perfect! I honestly want to return my Fenix 8 for it but I REALLY like the mapping and navigation features of my Fenix. In every other aspect, the AWU2 meets my criteria.
Battery is still way below Garmin. I sold mine AWU for an Epix 2 pro

You didn’t get an Ultra3 this year from Apple because the chip in the 10 is the same as the 9/Ultra2 only relabeled. The Ultra 2 still outspecs the series 10 which they want the attention on. They need to make the Ultra3 slightly thinner with way smaller bezels with the same depth rating which should be very easy as 100m isn’t that serious and I’m sure that’s the plan.

I was hoping they would come out with a black version so I can upgrade from my series 5. After seeing series 10 I’m really torn. Really liking gold titanium with clack or gold link band. Looks very classy, not too bulky, big screen. The battery difference is another factor. Tough choices. Any idea when the link bands are going to be available? It doesn’t give much info when trying to order one.
Well, apple got me upgraded from my ultra 1 that still is a beast just because of black color. Not happy with myself for falling for it AGAIN.

I wonder what the satin black finish will look like after a few weeks of wear. I have the 1 and it's almost impossible not to bump into something. I have a few scratches in the frame - not much, but it's noticeable when you look at the watch more closely. With the titanium natural finish it's not so noticeable. But with this black...
I preordered this watch and the only reason was I never had Apple Watch so I just bought the ultra 2 only for two reasons and that is it’s best battery life and tough screen because I do framing and other watches screen will scratch easily.
If I didn’t have an Ultra 1 already, I would definitely be getting the satin finish. It looks really sleek, and is NOT a fingerprint magnet (according to other creators who got their hands on the device).
It reminds me of the Porsche watches. Which I loved, but they did scratch and they would peal 😂

The older ultra 2 in silver, to me just looks better then the black, is it just me? Im on the fence of upgrading series 8 to ultra 2, but im inclining more towards silver then the new black. It just looks more visually appealing in videos atleast. Is that just me? As so many people are just saying the black ultra 2 looks amazing.

I really want to upgrade from my og ultra to an ultra 2 in black, due to better brightness, sleep apnea detection, faster chipset and better low power mode, but I just can’t justify the price - particularly since the ultra 2 is a year old now. Maybe if they had marked it down to $699.
The more i see digital watches like these (and yeh I have a Apple Watch), the more I want a real Normal automatic watch

Learn how to use it, maybe you’ll change your mind. If you just bought it as a notification wearable, then yeah you just wasted a bunch of money.
Put that strap on a black titanium. Series 10. If it looks good that’s the mix.
You might have mentioned it but does the ultra this year have the updates the series 10 got like AOD displaying seconds when in a dimmed state, playing music without bluetooth headphones. And if it does, does that mean the ultra 1&2 from last year will have this ability with a software update?

Ultra 2 just has audio playback, and sleep apnea detection. no display improvements.

When ordering the ultra 2 watch with that band they ask what size you want. Small, medium and large. What size did you get? I I don't want to get a watch too small or one that has too much extra length.

Hello, you’re videos are great! I’m definitely going to order one, but I am just curious how snug the titanium loop is for running. Does it feel like it would work itself loose compared to the trail band or the alpine loop?

I didn’t get a chance to check the size of the loops or bands at the event but my wrist is 185mm in circumference
@@DesFit its same as my wrist. I dont know what size should i choose. M is from 155-185 and L is from 180-210.
You can see the overlap in the video, which is kind of in between. My guess is that they had mediums just to fit more average wrist sizes. Could be worth trying it on first if you can.

Quick question, & deciding factor for me getting 965 or this new Ultra, on the new WatchOS may I edit the distance after an indoor run similarly to how I do on my Garmin? If I still can’t simply click edit the run distance that’s a no-go on the ultra for me. The 965 has superior battery & imo all around will motivate me more in all areas of fitness than closing rings on the AW does. But i could consider the ultra if it allows me that simple ability to change distance after the run haha

I have the Apple Watch Series 6 and wanted to upgrade to the ultra 3 but I’m left disappointed, I want a bigger battery but Now I’m hesitating with the series 10 because it has a larger screen and better screen technology. Should I wait or get the ultra 2 or series 10?

It looks great but still not interested. If they slapped in that new high efficiency OLED and a 3nm SIP, again for efficiency, then I would have upgraded from my Ultra 1. I’ll wait another year.

There are alot scuffs and imperfections on the body finishings of the new Apple Product. Like the iPhone 16 has imperfections and rough edges around camera outcut. This Black Ultra 2 has imperfections and roughness around the bezel and glass. I know, 'Whats the big deal? It's not that serious". "It is... It's an $800 watch". 900 if get the Milanese band. It's carbon neutral.

The new ti milanese bands don't have any stretch to them so they are not as ideal for sports

saw scratches on the one they had for press so no thanks staying with garmin. I have scratches in my black fenix7 too so its just how it is. but advertising that its scratch resistant is just not true for sure
I think those are just reflections - I thought the same looking at some of my footage but what initially appeared to be scratches disappeared when changing angles.
