- Prepare to rewrite history with Kingmakers, an action/strategy sandbox where you bring guns to a sword fight amidst massive war-torn medieval battles. Build, lead, fight, and change the course of history - coming to PC on Steam, solo, or co-op from the Redemption Road Games team.
We got pokemon slavery with Palworld, we got galatic liberation with helldivers 2, and now we're getting this.
This is the year of stupid-cool for video games, and I'm all for it.
Feels like the old days of gaming with developers taking risks. Love it
I'm just glad indie devs realize all the big companies are just doing remakes and rehashes, which leaves room for new different ips

Me too! There’s a game I tried to get about modern weapons against USA civil war. Darkest days or something, but it only works on old pc with old time graphic card. This game looks very fun.

Yup, it's getting to the point where indie devs have the tools/tech easily available and have become cost-effective enough to start matching the quality of AAA.

@@bigboysdotcom745 uebs2 is basically just a sandbox. this looks far more focused and story oriented. that's a generic battle sim, this is specifically "what if i had modern weapons in medieval times" power fantasy. if all epic battle Sims are the same game then there's like 30 of the same game out there

Shower thought games gotta be my favorite genre currently. Helldivers 2 with their "I could definitely beat the galaxy" and now Kingmakers "What if we went back in time with an AK-47". 2024 is going to be remembered as one of the better years for gaming.

@@cantinadudes I didn't watch the anime. I read something like 20 chapters of the manga when it first came out. I found the idea interesting, but it totally falls flat into the usual isekai tropes.

Man the first half had me like, “Meh just Chivalry but RTS” and then I hear a car, switches to that going back in time to Medieval and now I want it 😂 So literally the anime Gate except not an isekai, but your involvement in this Medieval war affects the future, fucking brilliant.
