    Wow! what an amazingly beautiful setting for a bike trail. I ride the Wenatchee loop on my e bike & it is lengthy but no comparison to this. Thanks for taking us along 👍

      Just looked up the Loop - it’s called the Apple Capital Loop Trail in Wenatchee? Looks like a nice trail. I’m going to put it on our 2026 trip West! Thanks for the trail tip. Also, thanks for your kind comments and your support of our channel.

      It's so much fun planning the trips. We are going to parts of the country that, up until recently, we haven't given much thought to -- and there's so much to see! Thanks for taking a minute to comment, and thanks for watching.

    What a fascinating trail that is, ups and downs, bridges, tunnels, hairpin turns, never a dull moment and you guys navigated it like champs.

      Thanks for watching!! The Lake Crescent Trail was so beautiful - the lake was so clear and blue you almost couldn’t believe it was real.

    In 2019 we rented an Airbnb in Sequim for a few nights and rode towards Port Townsend one day and towards Port Angeles on another day on regular bikes, but an ebike would have been much better as it was hilly on the ride toward Port Angeles.
    Now we have e-bikes and want to ride from Port Angeles to the coast over 3 days and another 3 or 4 days back. Biggest challenge is finding availability in motel or cabin with electricity to recharge batteries each night. It’s helpful to see where you park your RV and get your review of riding conditions!😊

      Thanks for the feedback on our addition of where we camp. I'm thinking the only way you may be able to handle a multi day trip on the Olympic Peninsula is to carry a spare battery? I know our bikes will accommodate a second, but we haven't every tried because I always want to camp where I have access to electricity 🔌 Thanks for watching.

    This is such a gorgeous ride. I visited Seattle last year and got to do some riding but didn't know about this trail and actually didn't have time too.This trail is in my mind next time I'm there. Absolutely beautiful views all around.thanks for sharing 👍

      Hi. I hope you get the chance to ride this trail in the near future. Not sure if you know about the trail that is right in Seattle -- Burke Gilman. We rode that one too. The video is coming in a couple of months. Thanks for watching!

    What a beautiful adventure! Thank you for sharing. I was wondering if you were concerned about bears...did you carry bear spray?

    • @Adventuresonebikes
      @Adventuresonebikes  6 місяців тому +1

      We bought bear spray -- but never took it out of the RV!!! (Not very smart) On the Palouse to Cascades trail that will post soon I was obsessed with bears, but we never saw one or came close to any type of scary wild animal. Thanks for watching.

    Nice video, thank you! I rode my ebike from Sequim toward Port Angeles, my GF suggested that it was a good time to turn around when we came to a steep downhill that looked like it would be fairly long ... I agreed, at 70 I don't risk my bones very often. We plan on moving to Sequim after our elderly cats "go home", so we will be doing a lot more biking on the ODT in the future.

    My partner and I did parts of the Olympic trail in late july of 2023. We were there as the blackberries were ready to consume. Definitely agree that there are sections of the trail that need better signage and the hill are not railroad grade. Our biggest disappointment was not the trail but the air quality due to all of this past summers wildfires.

    Yeah, the Port Angeles to Squim section. The parks agency wasn't able to buy up most, or even much of the rail line. The section west of the park & ride is even steeper. Looks like they cleared out more tunnels from when I visited Spruce Railroad in 2019. Only the first tunnel west of the trailhead was open then.

      Thanks for the additional information, it’s interesting. Guess I’m glad we didn’t head west from the parking lot!! We really enjoyed the Spruce Railroad section. Thanks for watching and we hope to “see” you again on our next adventure.

    How much was that edmonds to kingston ferry with an RV and a trailer?

    • @Adventuresonebikes
      @Adventuresonebikes  3 місяці тому

      They measure the total length of what you bring on the ferry. In our case, we were 50' in total length, so it cost around $130 to cross. Here is a link to the ferry prices: www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/fares/faresdetail.aspx?tripdate=&departingterm=8&arrivingterm=12. Thanks for watching!

    How did you charge your e bikes?

    • @Adventuresonebikes
      @Adventuresonebikes  5 місяців тому

      We charged our bikes back at our campsite using our RV power. This trail was done over 2 days and 2 different rides, so we didn't have any issues with having enough battery life. Thanks for watching!
