Add in her touches of pure soul and you have a masterpiece that is pure Angelina. I can detect bits of her idol Billie Holiday in this as well. And most of them couldn't, even if they wanted to. What she did here is actually vocally very demanding, even though it doesn't come across that way. Angelina was 12 years here. (12 years, 8 months). Thanks for the suggestions! I actually tried headphones, but the music video was diminished. I'm currently using my phone for my recordings, only a month into the UA-cam reactions, so I'm not sure if an external microphone would help but I couldn't hear the video in my test run. I tried... and it sucks because I do want to hear the sound more amplified!😥😥 It may be the app I use for the screen recording. I plan on trying a different app this weekend. 👍🤩

What Angelina did was stripped this song down to the essence of the words written by Carol King, then she followed the pure performance delivered by Aretha herself at the Kennedy Center awards show when Carol King received her award.
