I know I heard that back in the day and all throughout the years but I never really got the emotion and meaning.

Carol King wrote a beautiful song. Her recording of it is very good as well. Aretha commanded the song with her shear power and took us all to church with her rendition. Angelina did this tribute song for Aretha and this performance lifted it all the way to Heaven!

Spot on. Again her replacement of her wording, not only brought out the lyrics from a storytelling point of view but it changed the cadence of the songs.. There was a slight drop off of the tempo with the piano that for me, gave it that more of a jazzy feel. Specially her change of Tonality on the bridge.. I still get goosebumps when she gets to the part ( you make me feel so alive). Now that’s when Angelina’s old school jazz/ Blues soul took over and the rasp came out.

I wish Angelina would go back and revisit some of the songs she sang as a kid and hear the difference from then to now. Most folks would say that they wish they can hear Angelina sing longer than she does on each songs but actually most songs are lengthy do to it's chorus being repeated over and over till it reaches 3, 4, 5 min. mark. Angelina gets to the point of the song by just focusing on the main lyrics and 1 round of chorus and it sounds just as good if not better than a lengthy song.

I am going to go out on a limb here, but to be honest there isn't anyone thing the girl does it's the whole package she presents, every letter of every word seems to take on its own meaning when she sings :)
For these "karaoke" performances, she invariably sits there with an unassuming smile on her face and usually a little wave "Hi" - and the the music begins: We can literally see how she goes to her own musical world when that happens and, magically, she manages to invite most of her audience to join her there! All the other A-List singers that I heard with tributes to Aretha, went in the opposite direction of Angelina. They concentrated on showing power and a loud style since that was what Aretha was known for. Angelina uses her low register and 'breathy' ability, as well as mid sentence 'key' changes, to just draw the listener in deeply. A truly thought out, proper tribute, for sure.

I come everyday now to find your Angelina reaction and I'm really appreciating your increase in production quality.. The sound levels are balanced, you're using a headset so you hear the songs full potential. I really like how you have maximized the size of the video you're reaction to as well, making it easier to see, especially watching on a cell phone. One suggestion? Leave everything the same except push the mic mostly off screen and centre yourself more to the left. We'd rather see more of you while still having Angelina's video max size. Agree 100 percent what you say about hearing the lyrics for the first time, even though the song has been heard many times before. In decades of listening to music Angelina is the first person to open up the lyrics in a way I've never heard or understood them before. She has power that others simply do not possess.
