The criticism is ridiculous. I’ve been following this recipe for years. It always comes out perfectly and everyone loves it! Thank you for so generously posting this beautiful recipe! ❤
Those of you trolls criticizing how she made the flan should be ashamed of yourself. At least she had the nerve to do a video. Why don't you make your own video or are you afraid someone will criticize you? If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. BTW; she did it correctly and no it does not turn out like scramble eggs, it turns out silky smooth.
"If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all " 1st of don't tell me what to do 2nd chill out it's UA-cam if she did something wrong we can criticize her and correct her But we shouldn't insult her Though I like the recipe but i don't agree with you
We are bless to have someone brave to teach us there skills. So DON'T CRITICIZE if you don't know. Blessing Ms. Thas. and Thank you again. You keep showing us your cooking skills. There is a saying if you criticize me that means that I am important in your LIFE. Many Blessings. Thank you Again . Margarita.
Here is the recipe i’ve found on the internet without the eggs. Please note I haven’t tried this recipe yet- will be trying this soon & will share the video. If you want to try it please go ahead & let me know as well. 1 can of condensed milk 2 cups of heavy cream 1/2 cup of warm milk 1 sachet of unflavored gelatin (20g) Sugar for making caramel sauce METHOD Pour the cream and condensed milk into a blender. Mix them well. In a separate bowl, warm the milk and add the gelatin to the liquid. Then add the mixture to the blender and blend once more. Make the caramel sauce- follow my video. Pour the caramel sauce onto the ramekin or silicone mold. Pour the mixture over the caramel sauce. Place the flan in the refrigerator for at least two hours, until it has set well.
And, That, have you used corn starch for any of your cakes? If so, how much starch, should I use? In measuring cup given with instant pot for two cups of flour? :)
How were they made wrong? Flan is an egg custard....milk and eggs with some sugar. You can add things like cinnamon and/or nutmeg if you wish. Some may wish to substitute cream or half and half instead of milk....but it's still dairy. It's an egg custard.....dairy, eggs, with some sugar. She didn't make it wrong.
i agree.. some people make flan using a bain marie.. this is the perfect recipe for scrambled eggs. I guess she hasn't tasted flan where it is silky smooth.. I am sure it was edible but probably rubbery
dbreardon yes she did. Flan is very difficult to get right. She didn’t simmer the milk. She whisked like her life depended on it. She didn’t strain it. She didn’t wait for the caramel to cool down completely. A+ for the effort for sure. But if you don’t care about how your flan looks, feel free to make it the way she did. After all, it all turns to mush once it’s in the mouth, right?
You should take this video down. So wrong in so many levels. First, never whisk the mixture hard like that, thats why you get bubbles , and high pressure for 10mins is too long.

Thank you for your kind words & letting me know you’ve been following this recipe & love it. Whenever I make flan I make it this way too 😊
Thank you for showing me how to use my Insta pot for this . I always add some lemon zest to mine it steps it up to a higher level
That's a great idea!

,Hi Thas this desert looking yummy. But, with what can I replace eggs? Can. It be custard, any fruit pulp or curds, as I usually do for. Cakes? :)

Love caramel flan!
Great 👍
Thank you 😊
Thamks ❤💕💕🧚🏼♀️🐾🐾🐇👌🏻
Edit: I don't know why other people keep it for 25 mins in instant pot
That's ridiculous
10mins is more than enough IMO
Most welcome :)
Made baked flan the same way in panasonic ricecooker ...turned out very well..thnx
That's great to know :)
Have you tried creme bruleé?
Not yet, on my cooking list :)
What’s the time in a 3 qt instant pot?
It will be the same pressure cooking time even for 3 qt IP: 10 minutes with natural pressure release. Hope you’ll enjoy the flan :)
Thank you very much 👍👍👍👍
very good video , could we use brown sugar for Caramel?
Yes you can, it will have a more intense taste though.
Can you leave in refrigerators more than 2 hours and eat it ?
Yes you can, can be refrigerated overnight as well.
Yes, you can.
Of course!
I thought it needed to be steamed. I would have thought that pressure cooking would turn it into scrambled eggs
does look scrambled
not smooth like silk
The flan shouldn't have many holes on it. They were over cooked 🥺🥺
I don’t understand the yellow filter at the end
More sugar
Your flans were over cooked, and the way make them was so wrong.

I screamed inside when she whisked the mixture.

What a mess, no thank you
