Got to try the summit this weekend at a Storm Matchmaker. This ball is nasty good. 2H, 14mph at the pins, med high rev. THS, started on the fresh.
Was Freshly drilled, 1st time thrown. Used as 1st ball I tried. Started right, 10@arrows and moved left to 15@arrows. Definitely a great ball could play it anywhere.
Tried the other available balls and went back to the Summit after an hour or so. Had some lane shine. Start at the same spot and kept moving left to see how it was across the lane. Ended at 35 at approach and 18-20 at arrows.
Nice info. Definitely looks more of a tourny ball for a lot of us but still nice to see sym stuff still evolve in this area.

Oh...and did we ever get a video on the 'new' shoes? Guessing there may be something with your sponsor contracts stopping that but with how you did the 3g vid...be nice to hear what made you go with these instead.
Last part...I think it would be interesting to see this against a Zen Soul with the same surfaces. (since it sounds like you may play with the surface on this...bonus if they match for the comparison)

Just got my Summit drilled up recently. Second week using in league and just shot 300 tonight 4th game out of the box finish.
Two weeks prior shot 299 with the Exotic Gem and a month ago 279 with the Fate. As always thank you for your in depth reviews and picking out favorites been very helping getting back into the sport and building tournament bags. Keep the content coming.

TX-23 is the updated version of the TX-16 cover on the phaze ii. Would love to see how the two compare. Stronger core and newer cover formula on the summit vs the weaker core and older cover, plus hybrid vs solid.

I just bought a 900 global- eternity 2 days ago and have been loving it!
I am interested in preordering this ball because I feel for my play style the eternity skids too far and hooks later on the backend because I’m a lower rev player and I’m looking for something that reads the lanes early and hooks a little sooner.. I’m hoping this summit with the stronger DIF and lower RG will be more aggressive on the backend and be more angular and not so smooth.
This will def be earlier and smoother when compared to the eternity!

You can always put some surface on the eternity if it is skidding too far. I’m assuming it’s not going through the pins and going a little flat based on your scenario. My eternity works great right after the phaze II because I can play a similar line when the lanes transition
@@rmantey05 ok thank you! The first day I bowled with the ball I was immediately thinking about surfacing it.. but didn’t know what to say or how to approach my proshop.. I don’t want them to just put any surface they think would work because someone like you or Luis may have another opinion on the grit
Luis this ball looks great but I don't think I would get this ball. My ball speed is way to slow for this baby. By the way you make all the balls you review look great...

This is Storm's version of the Track Stealth and Stealth Pearl, which is releasing soon. All of these balls will be awesome. The Storm ball may work for both of the Track balls, leading to one more ball space in the bag. The Track Stealth solid does well at either "stable" or 1500 grit, so the Summit may be similar. And like the Summit, the Stealth does not lane shine very quickly. If I didn't have a Stealth, I'd buy a Summit.

I think the reality is a good comparison. I love throwing mine when I can really move in and make it hook on some friction. I can stand at like 35-37 and throw it 15-20 at the arrows and know it’ll strike all day.

It might make it a niche video, but I would love to see the Summit vs. Marvel-S. I’m assuming you still have your Marvel-S. The Summit doesn’t seem as strong as it was marketed, especially on fresh conditions. On transition, this ball is amazing. I do notice a difference (in a good way) in the pin carry. Seems to carry those light mixers really well.
I hate how underrated the summit has been!
Would love to see comparisons of the Stom hybrid lineup. So Absolute, Summit, Hy-Road.
Hybrid designator doesn't mean much. Summit is not even close to the Absolute and HyRoad

@@rb8999 Yep, totally get that too. Luis has shot on challenge shots before. I recently got back into bowling after a decade off and these were all things I didn't understand and made incorrect purchases because of.

I have a big boy ball in the Nova. And I like a new ball that’s works similar to how I like the Nova, which is a strong pin down. And I believe I might have found one in the Summit.
Plus I like my bowling balls to be versatile.
67 yr old 2 hander here. I understand the cover is different & its a hybrid !? but how does it compare to the Fate ?!!!!! which is an incredible ball esp on transition !!!
Also ive found that a lot of time i find my friction @ THE END OF THE OIL PATTER & NOT OUTSIDE ???!!! Do you ever give it more rotation !!

im lefty and just got one. MAN does it hook! So much that I got 7 gutters in a row trying to figure it out, I can step any more right than I do or throw it any more left than I do, and it still hooks back so severely it misses all the pins. The only solution I eventually worked out is I just have to increase my ball speed
That sounds like an oil issue not a ball issue ya know

Can you do a comparison of the Storm Summit and the Motiv Forge Ember?
The cover out of the box is not as strong as expected. Gonna try the slow hook approach. I seem to leave way too many 10 pins keeping the ball in front of me.

Enjoyed this video. Was wondering if you thought it would be a great strong ball even for a senior bowler with low revs and a little slow speed. Am thinking about going to Hammer or Motiv per Jamison because I really need balls with strong backends and not sure storm fits that bill. What are your thought. Woyuld like to see it compared to the DNA

I would say the Storm Summit compared to the Zen Soul since they are both symmetrical hybrids and very close in numbers.
Zen Soul is discontinued though!
I would love to see a comparison of the Summit in weights 14, 15 and 16#. Since this is a ball that Storm says the RG and Diff are identical in those weights, does the difference in poundage make any difference?
I don't have those weights BUT the RG and DIFF are the same!

I don’t usually let people bowl WITH me when I film but I don’t mind people bowling on lanes around me
This is the first ball in history that has the same stats for 14-16 lbs. So if you want to roll a 16.. you can... without being penalized for it with a dead on the backend ball... now 16s are viable again.
The Fact that you missed right and it can bounce back its not a testament to the ball... You know how to roll my guy... Its a testament to the Lanes having friction... If you had significant carrydown... no matter what ball you roll... it ain't getting up that hill.. not even a Gem or Archetype... or Mindset... Just to cover all the big bowling balls.
Idk about history but that is a great talking point fkr the ball!
@@LuisNapoles look it up... I think since Cores have been put in... This is the first line up to EVER have 14-16 all the same numbers... It makes the transition to a higher or lower weight... more appealing... which yields more sales.

Is it different enough as a replacement for the Fusion? As I see it jumps off the friction just like my Fusion does sometimes. The reason I had not gotten rid of the fustion as I was told it was a unique ball so I kept it.

i’m a beginner and i only have two balls a hy road and a phaze four, when should i use either one of them? should i use the hy road on the fresh and switch to the phaze during transition?

@@LuisNapoles I know just because (A) happened before (B) doesn’t mean (A) caused (B) but I’m just disappointed they were discontinued and this doesn’t seem to replace any of those. Obviously future releases might and I look forward to seeing what they put out.
