Yes it is a great place I wish I lived in the area I'm going to miss it when I head out back to Pennsylvania I plan to make sure I visit on the 25th of this month for that taste the case
This shop looks great. If you get a chance there's a small butcher shop that sells local Florida beef, it's not as big as this store but I'm all about supporting local Cattle ranchers. It's called Central Florida beef, it's on Jefferson Ave in Brooksville.

You should visit Jimmy P's south of Tampa in Bonita Springs and Naples. As a fellow carnivore a stop here is mandatory everytime we vaction over on the west coast of the state.
You could have the plastic grass to divide the products in the case, it looks more professional that way! And the light color temp makes a big difference on sales too!! And they cut down on spoilage too!!
Try Argentina Red Shrimp, they have all the flavor!! Frozen Goose and duck breast? Very nice selection and display! Im going to pickup some short-rib today!

Sorry I wasn't done talking but I accidentally hit send but I wanted to tell you about a little town that is about 6 miles north West of Brooksville called Istachatta, it's on the withlacoochee River, has great places to camp there used to be a place called Dave's fish camp right on the river in the middle of town, I don't know if it's still there or not but if you go out of town headed west you can turn down any of the roads off the main drag out of town that goes to the right and it'll take you back to the river and great camping spots just watch for the Gators and the turkeys and wild hogs oh yeah and the wild bulls.
Also you might want to check out the little town of Bushnell Florida which is only about 12 mi from Brooksville and it's a cool little place in Sumter county which is known as Hogg county. Because of all the wild hogs. I used to run the feed store in town there for about 5 years I was the manager before moving to istachatta. That whole area is very beautiful very nice plenty of camping spots specially along the withlacoochee River in floral City or Istachatta. If you happen to go that way if you send me a text or an email I can hook you up with some good people that have campgrounds along the river that would surely let you hang your hammock. I've got a real good friend who has a fish camp right on the river but you have to drive back to it it's way back in the swamps but it's a cool and peaceful place. I love that you're there in that area I have actually had them butcher a hog for me when I lived down there well actually a couple hogs they did a really good job. I've got to re-watch the video because I need to know if they will ship to Ohio which is where I'm at right now I plan on coming back that way but I don't know exactly when. But definitely want to come back what town is your hammock event in?
Brooksville is a ways out there for me in Tavares but if I brought a cooler, I could stock up for quite a while. Very interested in the tasting events. Thanks for bringing this information to us! I sent the link to my sister in Sebring.
I’ve lived here since 2009… you should check out Central Florida Beef! Much closer to that event on Mondon …it’s at the Hilltop, Jefferson & Broad… never disappoints! Harts looks amazing but a bit further from me and out of my budget😂
Our Favorite Place to get Meat! If you want to see what they have to offer, try one of their packages, a good sampling of their offering. Love the coarse grind on the Italian Sausage, those Pork Chops are absolutely the best we've ever had, Steaks are beautiful, everything else is just Great. Tell em Big Ken sent Ya, they won't have a clue.
That I am not exactly sure but you can always give them a call and on their Facebook page they do put out their specials and different flavors of sausage that they just made

@ Lake Louisa State Park has it all. Safe but I Know you carry some kind of bear spray. Camping, hiking, lake trails, cabins. Very good chance of filming Protected Florida Land Tortoise up close. Scenic lake front beach with WW2 history! Possibly a car stealth and hammock combined? Tony you are in the right place at the right time of year! Cold but nothing compared to Pa. Hey…you’re in my neck of the woods. I live in Crystal River about 20 minutes north. Everyone here knows about Hart’s! Lots of good stealth camping here and you can see the Manatee (we don’t eat those lol).
That's funny I was wondering if they taste like chicken LOL I actually had Crystal River in my GPS but then I ran down to Spring Hill the Planet Fitness there and Walmart then just ate dinner in the parking lot back at Hart's . I was scoping out areas for a little stealth camp but have not been able to find anything
Used to be Carlisle's Meat Market. They took it over a few years ago and changed the name. I quit going because I was priced out, as the price went up when they took over, but I suspect the meat still comes from the same Iowa source. When I asked why the price went up, they said its been that price, I said a few months ago in the transition it was still less, they dismissed me, so I left. I haven't been back, to pricey for me and I don't know if they just didn't know the price was lower cause they just started or if they were outright lying to me. So I get my stuff at publix now. I miss Carlisle's!
Yeah prices have gone up on beef everywhere I wouldn't suspect that they would have lied to you they seem like a great crew and pretty upfront. Compared to my butcher shop back in Pennsylvania I thought they had great prices especially for the wet aged beef that they had

Did they have beef ribs ? And they never said what grade of meat . Theirs plenty of beef around here but not all are graded if had good and not so good beef that’s raised around that area.
That I do not know up in that area but what you could do is a Google search and read about the different butchers and markets near you if I get up in that area I will certainly be looking around

I checked out their packages on their website. For instance, the Essential package is $110. I priced the same meats at Sams club and it was $70 so they're a little pricey.

Because I know for a fact that what Sams Club sells is Choice cuts. Hart's sells a better cut of meat than Sams Club? Please clear this up why there is a $40 difference in price.
First of all your helping to support a small farmer, you KNOW where your meat is coming from, you DO NOT know where your meat comes from at the big stores, you do not know how humanely they are dispatched and treated while they are alive, you DO NOT know what they are being fed! Remember what the animal eats you eat! Now I understand that you can only get what you can afford and there’s nothing wrong with that. But if you start paying attention to where your food comes from and the processing of it, I think you will see the benefit. Also I can say I’ve had free range grass fed and finished beef and a very small portion fills you up, it’s all beef no filler, and without any seasoning you can taste the beef, what beef should taste like! No dyes to make it RED, no saline salution to plump it up. Just do a little research on your own and do what you can within your budget for you and your family. ❤
Yeah it is a meat market not a butcher that's why it's called Meat Market on the door I did a video back in September of this year where I went to a butcher where local farmers brought in the cattle and drop them off and then they butchered and packed. They gave me a big old ribeye and I went out and cooked it along the road please check that video out it's pretty cool
You should really eat more vegetables and fruits. Not relying on just protein. Like spinach broccoli cabbage snd more there all a super food. Great for the body.
Yeah actually there is a ton of nutrients in red meat. After 7 1/2 months my doctor finally took all my medications off my charts. Down the road I might add a few things in but I'm not to that point yet

Yeah the steaks and burger that I got from there was amazing we even got a box of the frog legs and cook them at camp the other day

I checked out their packages on their website. For instance, the Essential package is $110. I priced the same meats at Sams club and it was $70 so they're a little pricey.

Because I know for a fact that what Sams Club sells is Choice cuts. Hart's sells a better cut of meat than Sams Club? Please clear this up why there is a $40 difference in price.
First of all your helping to support a small farmer, you KNOW where your meat is coming from, you DO NOT know where your meat comes from at the big stores, you do not know how humanely they are dispatched and treated while they are alive, you DO NOT know what they are being fed! Remember what the animal eats you eat! Now I understand that you can only get what you can afford and there’s nothing wrong with that. But if you start paying attention to where your food comes from and the processing of it, I think you will see the benefit. Also I can say I’ve had free range grass fed and finished beef and a very small portion fills you up, it’s all beef no filler, and without any seasoning you can taste the beef, what beef should taste like! No dyes to make it RED, no saline salution to plump it up. Just do a little research on your own and do what you can within your budget for you and your family. ❤

Not a butcher just another meat market
Yeah it is a meat market not a butcher that's why it's called Meat Market on the door I did a video back in September of this year where I went to a butcher where local farmers brought in the cattle and drop them off and then they butchered and packed. They gave me a big old ribeye and I went out and cooked it along the road please check that video out it's pretty cool

You should really eat more vegetables and fruits. Not relying on just protein. Like spinach broccoli cabbage snd more there all a super food. Great for the body.
Yeah actually there is a ton of nutrients in red meat. After 7 1/2 months my doctor finally took all my medications off my charts. Down the road I might add a few things in but I'm not to that point yet
