P = I 2 R 2 be read as square.Here P is directly proportional to R provided I is constant, Possible in Series connection
P = V 2 / R Here P is inversely proportional to R provided V is constant as in case of Parallel connection

We need to find resistance,R=v2÷p(v square)120square×100=144ohm,120square÷10=1440ohm,
In series R=R1+R2=144+1440=1584ohm
So 10watt consume more energy because less power and also the amount of current flowing is less.Rememember the formula p=I×E
