Kent is the sweetest guy EVER ive meet him at competitions and he walked up to me and a few of my friends and said our studio is just amazing and that we were all amazing dancers and gave us hugs, he really is down to earth and sweet.
Kent has impressed me more than any other dancer they have ever had. He not only has technique and charisma, but great heart, too. I wonder why they haven't had him back as an all star in recent years, since the judge's seem to love him, too?

This is my favorite routine of the season!!! The emotional rises and falls flew in the footsteps, and the music was just right. Heart-breaking~~This is truly art!!
Anyone else wondered if this is where he was just starting to figure out his sexuality? Cause u can tell that Kent and Ally had some sort of connection, or understanding like maybe he had told her that he was gay? I always have loved this dance and I think it's severely underrated, but I think this along w How It Ends were Kent's two signature dances from the show everyone always goes back to, IMO. But it was this dance where I think I picked up on that he was Gay, and what I love so much is he just said the other night that he came out officially came out to his family 3 years ago, you can go look on his Instagram where he shared the info. I adore you Kent, but you already know that my love :).
He is so lovely. This shows that he is not only "smiley Kool Kent" but also really emotionally deep and serious. Also LOVE Adams reaction! Very Moving!
If you look back earlier in the season to now, Kent definitely matured as a dancer. With his dance with Lauren, a dance about two kids who are at prom before going to college, to here a few weeks later, with Allison in a dance that's about a marriage that's about to self-destruct.

i love kent boyd, he is one of the dancers i can't get out of my mind and every time i see him perform i feel happy :D ...haters are gonna hate, and people will always be jealous... this is the price for being amazing at what you do :)
nothing was bothering him, he just got so invested in the emotional aspect of the performance that it effected his emotions after it was over. thats why adam and mia were saying he became an artist, because he allowed himself to go so deep into the performance. it happened to me once, and it's the weirdest feeling in the world to get so into an emotional aspect of something that in truth does not exist in your life. the only sad part is i havent been that into a performance since then lol

Mia and Adam made this show worth watching for people who know dance and are smarted than bread, they know what they were talking about and made the connections... Nigel is bread.... Kent won in my book from the second he touched the stage ...MAGIC.... At least they got it right with Melanie...
Do you hear everything they are saying ? I watched this show right from its start . I loved Kent from his audition to the end . I felt like he had every judge in his corner . They were saying amazing things about him . Then the last 2-3 shows , they switch directions on him . My friends thought so too . Lauren is great , but I think he should have won .
i wanted so badly for kent to win when alex had to drop out i honestly thought kent deserved it more than lauren lauren is a great dancer, but kent grew so much throughout the show and i really think he earned it this season was one of the ones where i thought america had made a mistake with the winner
@xxDANCExxLIFExx , I actually had to skill the 2011 season , I have just reached the point where I can not deal with Nigel , saying that this is the best performance he has ever seen or this will be an Emmy winner each and every week. I really wish they had Mia back and someone that could pull back their bias and deal with each performance as a learning experience for the dancers.
he praised Kent but had to add in an irrelevant comment about his strength and say it didn't show in his performance. My point was that he should have kept his mouth closed and made comments based on the performance he just saw. Kent was emotional and he should have addressed the emotional quality... A dancer is only as good as their last performance so that's how Nigel should judge.

I agree with Adam he gives criticism and congrats as warranted and explains them well, but Mia can be a bit mean when she gives criticism. Adam is always nice, and neutral and trying to help...and Mia's words can take on a edge sometimes.
Why are you people angry? Yes Kent was incredibly talented but other dancers were to. One of those incredibly talented dancers did actually win. And you all need to realize that.Mia, Adam, Nigel or any other judge or guest, or dancer is not selfish, mean, or rude. Sure the judges are always going to critique but that's what they do. And to be honest, if we replaced anyone... So You Think You Can Dance wouldn't be So You Think You Can Dance.
Better than Mary Murphy IMHO But yeah it does come off a little unnecessary to draw out the comment as long as he did, as it should've just been said to compliment his flawless performance

Um excuse me, but befor you call people idiots, you better make damn sure what you're talking about and make sure your proof is baked up. If you had taken the time to actually listen before you reacted like a smart person would do, you would have heard the crowd cheering on Nigels comment, you would have noticed he wasn't criticizing Kent at all but he was saying he IMPROVED since he first met him when he auditioned, and you would have heard him say wonderful things about Kent's dancing.
Nigel owns the show so.... Mia and Adam have the emotional connection of dances... You are no good if you cant connect.. .unless your in the chorus,then you just fit the costume... And trust me my dance teacher was a real bear/bitch.but she made me better... Miss and LOVE to Adam and MIa..
