The interior is a super tight fit into the cab...I ended up removing the tabs under the interior and everything fell right into place!!!! Super appreciative of all the response I've gotten!! I'll have a video of the truck soon!!
Guess you didn't watch my '60 build. 😉 I had an issue where the dash didn't sit right and I had to make a few adjustments to get it to slide in further. Although the interior tub looked like it was where it was supposed to be, it wasn't. The problem is in your dash. With that said, even after you fix that issue the bed looks like it wants to sit lower than the cab, you may have to shim the bed with a couple thin pieces of styrene to align it. Initially I opened up the holes on the frame where the pins fit into them, that helped some, but did not alleviate the issues. Take a look at the dash and see if it's sitting correctly first, then go from there.
I didn't see the video at the time. The interior was a tight fit to get into the cab, I had adjusted the dashboard, was afraid that I was gonna scratch the paint on the body, ended up losing the back window. I removed the tabs on the bottom of the interior that was suggested and that seemed to have worked!! It looks real good!!! This truck has been a quick build, lotta fun! I'll post a video of it in couple days!!! I appreciate the help!!!!
Thank you!! I took those tabs off and sure enough everything fell right into place!! I have a plan for that two tone paint! I appreciate the tip!!! I'll have a video on the truck soon!
Thanks! The interior was a super tight fit into the cab, lost the back window playing with it to get it up there. But it ended up being the pins underneath, shaved them off and it went right together!! I appreciate the help!!!!!
The holes for the locating pens are probably off. Clip those little pins off of the bottom of the Interior that'll give you enough play so you can let the cab drop and be even with the bed
Man don't know what the problem is Chris. I built that truck a couple of years ago and it came out great. Don't remember having an issue like that. Ron
The truck is looking great my friend...I havent built this kit yet so I dont have any advice...but it does appear you have been given some advice by the other youtubers.
I've been super appreciative of all the support!!! Be careful cause the interior is super tight going into the cab. I ended up removing the tabs under the interior and everything fell right into place!!! The tips are out to help us!!!
Thanks!! Everyone has been helpful! I knew I'd get good ideas on here! I'm very appreciative of it too!! I ended up removing the tabs under the interior and everything fell right into place!! I should have a video soon of the truck!!
I had a problem with an old MPC '76 Firebird and I had to grind the interior tub bottom and chassis to get the body to sit low enough so the frame would not show. Your results may vary.
I've heard mixed reviews on that Firebird kit. I ended up shaving down the little pegs under the interior and it worked perfectly!!! I'll have a video up in few days for it
I did get lotta great advice!! Knew I could ask here!!! It ended up I removed the four pegs on the bottom of the interior and it sits perfectly, should of known better but am thankful for all the advice!! I'll have a video up of the truck sometime this week
It's a beautiful kit! Went together fairly quickly. I ended up removing the tabs on the bottom of the interior and everything fits perfectly!! I'll have a video up soon on ot
check the pin holes out if it looks good you are going have to add plastic to fix it by using plastic rods like 3/32 or maybe tubes the only way really is to add and remove plastic
Take the interior tub out of the cab and see how it lines up on the chassis. The pins could be off or too tight. A lil trim on the pins may be all you need. HtH
Interior was a super tighten fit into the cab had a lot of wiggling that into the cab but shaving off the tabs under the interior was the trick, sits perfectly now!! Appreciate the help!! I'll have a video up soon on the truck!!
It's a great kit! I was supposed to do an update video this weekend but didn't get to it, been busy. The truck looks great! The green was selected for a plan I had in my head, hopefully I'll get a video up soon!
Hey Chris, the 4 pins on the bottom of the interior tub.......cut them off.....the last 60 Pickup I built had that problem
Thanks, Jeff! That was the route I took, and sure enough it all fits togther!!! I really do appreciate the tip!!!
Thanks for showing the problems one can run into! 👍👀….Great answers!

@@carouselofcrazychrisb right on 👍🏻 good you got it to sit right I’ll be watching
I agree with Time machine. That kits dash is a little odd in how it fits. I think I just removed those front pins.

That's a good question..I have that same kit still in the box so I'm curious to know.
One of the many suggestions was to remove the four tabs on bottom of the interior, fit perfectly!!! Definitely do that!!!
*I really like the lQQks of that shortbed Chevy~I haven't built one as of yet so I wouldn't know what is keeping it from going in where it goes*

I had the same problem with the super stones f250... You may need to shim the bed with styrene strip...hope someone chimes in with a better idea.
Is the f250 the Firestone kit? I ended up removing the tabs under interior and it worked perfectly!! I'll get a video up in couple days!!
That's an interesting problem you have. It's modeling so I'm sure you'll find a way to make it right. Maybe some shims would help. Good luck with it!
Thanks! After a number of excellent responses I got it to fit properly!! I'll have new video of the truck soon!!!

I've never built this Fleetside so won't know how to advise. Like that Bright green color though.
