This is very well done but I'm glad to be able to say that the Olympic made it to the wreckers in one piece. Not happy she was scrapped, but that is the way of it for most ships.
They took some of Olympic’s fittings and put them in a motel in the UK. It’s called The White Swan Motel. Some of Olympic’s windows and pieces from the grand stair case and first class lounge were used. There is also a pub in the UK that was apparently built using pieces from the Mauritania’s library. I don’t remember it’s name though. It’s sad that this is as close as we can get to being able to experience these ships but I guess it’s better than nothing.
And two other points: the Imperator lost her eagle fairly early on and the ship shown later had 4 funnels-Imperator /Berngeria was a three funnel.. My guess is that that the later ship was the Mauretania.
This would’ve been a horrible ending for the Olympic... at least we could see the Olympic wreck... it’d be interesting to see what a Olympic wreck would look like
If those this is fiction the White Star Line did not survive the merger with Cunard. That is why the Cunard Line is still here and not the White Star Line.
this is 1 of 3 videos that i know of that we can say that Olympic finally got what she was hoping for, an everlasting exsistance with her sister ships: Titanic and Britannic
This is an amazing video, really well done! As another VSF film maker I can confirm your work is fantastic. Keep up the amazing work :D The scene when Mauretania comes to Olympics rescue is not only sad but also harrowing. Two rivals working together to save lives.
Don’t get me wrong, the Olympic is my favorite ship of all time. Nothing can top it, but when I saw that thumbnail with the hideous green staircase filling up with water, I was like: the staircase deserves it lol
Can someone teach me how to sink ships by the bow in VSF? Or just sink them in anyway without having to use break and sink cause break and sink goes too fast.
you want to click design > Vehicle > Elements > save elements > ok. then select the element go down to max_float and set it to zero. the yellow marker will turn red with the selected element. just keep setting max float to zero on all elements until it finaly breaks and plunges.
