It’s a personal choice but usually it makes more sense to go with that one that will save/earn you more interest. Over a 30 year horizon, investing in the stock market returns about 8% on average. However, this is not guaranteed. There’s also psychological benefits to paying off debt. There’s no wrong choice here.

We are already in the big crash, Inflation is a catastrophe. This CPI report is a colossal failure. To bring the housing market to a halt, the FED will have to pull all the stops. The unfortunate issue is that other markets are being decimated. If you want to stay green, you have to rely on a lot of diversification. Currently up 14% and being careful. Still a better deal than leaving it in a savings or checking account yielding 0-1 percent interest.
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyper-inflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

Do you mean a Vanugard Personal Investor account? The only advantage you have with some Australian brokers is if they offer chess sponsorship (which vanguard does not). This basically means you own the shares directly and can set up auto dividend reinvest plans. If you don’t care about those things, Vanguard should do the job especially if you’re only interested in vanguard products (the fees are higher to buy non-vanguard stocks).

Hi Bryan, when you say that we need to pay off our debt before investing, do you also suggest that we pay off all our HECS debt as well?
It’s a personal choice but usually it makes more sense to go with that one that will save/earn you more interest. Over a 30 year horizon, investing in the stock market returns about 8% on average. However, this is not guaranteed. There’s also psychological benefits to paying off debt. There’s no wrong choice here.

I'm not kidding when I say that the market crash and high inflation have me really stressed out and worried about retirement.
I've been in the red for a while now and although people say these crisis has it perks, I'm losing my mind but I get it,Investing is a long-term game, so I will focus on the long run.

We are already in the big crash, Inflation is a catastrophe. This CPI report is a colossal failure. To bring the housing market to a halt, the FED will have to pull all the stops. The unfortunate issue is that other markets are being decimated. If you want to stay green, you have to rely on a lot of diversification. Currently up 14% and being careful. Still a better deal than leaving it in a savings or checking account yielding 0-1 percent interest.
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyper-inflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

In order to make profits from trading you need loads of experience and a well defined strategy, which most traders don't have. If you trade without the proper preparation, you're most likely to lose your money. Identify the buy/sell ratios and identify the market leaders and most importantly. Diversify! this will help you spread risk.

Of course I can't give you direct financial advice but generally speaking, if one already has VAS + VGS then the next logical choice would be an Emerging Markets ETF that covers developing countries like China, India, Korea, Brazil etc. Have a look at ETFs like VAE, VGE, IEM, ASIA. Please make sure to do your own research before doing anything.

Do you mean a Vanugard Personal Investor account? The only advantage you have with some Australian brokers is if they offer chess sponsorship (which vanguard does not). This basically means you own the shares directly and can set up auto dividend reinvest plans.
If you don’t care about those things, Vanguard should do the job especially if you’re only interested in vanguard products (the fees are higher to buy non-vanguard stocks).

BTC's price has been fluctuating lately, which means the market is currently open and you cannot tell whether it is going to be bearish or bullish. Can you tell me which exchange in Australia supports grayscale stocks for native crypto's such as LTCN , BCHG , HZEN , ETCG?
I don't believe there is an official grayscale type ETF for crypto in Australia yet. The closest is CRYP which tracks companies that are closely related to crypto.
Hey i meant an exchange that Australians can use that's compatible to "US stocks" that we can easily invest into these grayscale stocks. At the moment i use "stake" however it only has "LTCN" and "BCHG" not the other various grayscales. @@BryanInvest
