Energy companies were aloud to charge more because of the windfall tax. Government looks good because they are punishing the greedy energy companies but the energy companies are the bad guys brace they are making excessive profits. However they could reduce the price cap and then we pay less for energy and business pay less and prices could go down reducing inflation pressure.
Capital gains tax being so low is not fair to people who work and get paye. However if you increase capital gains tax then you have to take into account inflation. Otherwise you could actually make a loss because of the tax and the devaluation of money.
over the last liebour Gov the pounds buying power fell 77% over that 13 years, and during the last tory Gov it fell 55% over their 14years in power. Capital Gains is BS as it doesnt take into account the deflation in the value of the fiat money scam over the time of the gain...which isnt the size of real gain you thought it was and pay CGT tax on
Parties that have actually been in business making decisions that 'might' actually increase output. This in turn could increase the national purse, allowing for infrastructure spend whilst allowing for the reduction in taxes. This is an initial thought...
Increasing tax thresholds from £12,475 to £20k straight away giving people more spending power which will be redistributed into the local and wider economy. Labour want to keep these rates until 2029 and raise taxes uncontrollably at the same time this is one of the many reasons Labour will send the UK into economic depression

Nothing will improve no matter how much tax Labour see the public as cash cows and when they have no spending power the economy goes bust so how do you intend to fund your beloved public spending if money isn't coming in?

I have been to Jersey recently but the property prices are a bit expensive so it’s looking like the IOM is going to be the place for me.
