That trophy cabinet was gathering a lot of dust, as it was 25 years without a trophy back then. Ever since, it’ll have gathered cob webs and mice nests in it too 55 years down the line.

I first came here in 63 as a young lad, to be honest it was a dump, like a lot of grounds for at the time, the toilets would have embarrassed a 3rd world country, Hillsborough and the Taylor report changed everything, before that the fans were treated appalling by clubs especially the police and authorities, although that can't be an excuse to justify the football violence of the late 60's, 70's and early 80's. There was no talk of the Cathedral on the Hill, today it's a magnificent citadel, which now getting a makeover by the new owners
