- First we take a scented core (6 point star) and dip it into various colors to create nice blends. Afterwards one of our Artisans cuts and carves it using special tools to create wonderful and truly eye beholding candles. They are 100 % Hand Crafted and scented.

+ciaracrys There's a difference between art and artisans. Artisans usually do stuff by hand but to support themselves, they have to produce in bunches. Even when they're made by thousands, they're still made one by one and all by hand. So it's not like it's mass produced in a chain line like whatever other cheap candle you can make.

I did it for a company at WDW Downtown Disney in the 90s, it IS fun!! It is also relaxing and therapeutic. I want to start my own company

Actually artisans like this lady are trained to very the design that is cut even slightly so that no two are the same.

The video says the things she’s making are candles, but who the heck would burn these things, they are so beautiful. They are more like wax sculptures.
Coming form someone who jsut stays inside and plays video games all day, i would go to a fucking weekly class to make these things.. theyre soo coool lookinggg omgg

Just wow if I tried this the candle would be a pile of wax this is so awesome
I wonder if it would be plausible to do something similar to this with clay, like for a decorative vase. Maybe you could have the base shape of white clay, then have multiple jars of different colored slip. Pour or paint or smear a layer of one color, let it solidify a bit (but not dry out), do another layer, and so on. then carve while the clay is still soft. Fire it once, cover it with a clear glaze and fire again.
I only know a little bit about working with clay, so I have no idea if this could work, and I don't have the time, money, or materials to try it myself.

I've done many "candles" from playdoh while just wasting time (and the dough because I layered it) it works nicely with a sharp kitchen knife. Something to practise on lol
I have made these before I mean not buy myself at a place where they show you to make candles and it was so cool
I make these... and top credits to her for not getting bored making so many hundred the same!!! Honestly, I love carving but almost every candle I make is different either in colour or pattern.
Hi, where did you get your dipping/melting tank? I'm trying to make one with minimal costs to try this art, not sure if I would keep at it so I don't want to invest a lot of money upfront.

Amazing video!!!! Really iimpressive! I Loved it! Please, I intend to begin to make this candle, but here in Brazil, there are not stores or more informations about candle/waxing work. So, i need your help, please!!! Im going to make the star candle. In the video the star candle you use, for this kind of decorative candle, is maden with parafin and stearin, or there are another product? Which kind of parafin do you need for this job (parafin plus?), and how many stearin must use to make the wax? The wax in video seems so soft to handle! And, wich temperature to make start the art work?. Anyway, thank you for sharing this lovely video!!! Vivian from Brazil.
