    Is this the recipe you use? I have seen another one with polysorbate 80 to mix oil and water in the bath and SLSA + cream of tartar. Are the ingredients you use a replacement for these? Thanks, love your videos

    • @brismithereeno
      @brismithereeno 2 роки тому

      Slsa is the ingredient that gives fizz, and polysorbate 80 like you said is an emulsifier so it will help the oil and mica/coloring disburse in your bath water instead of clumping up

      @@brismithereeno SLSA gives it the silky smooth bubbles, the citric acid is what makes the fizz

    I’ve used this bath bomb receipt and they come out perfect though the next day when I want to shrink wrap them they all fall apart.. what am I doing wrong?

      It sounds like she says 48 hours but she says 4 to 8 hours. Maybe they are out too long? I struggled with that until I listened again.

    Do you have to use corn starch or can I use a substitute ?

    • @AB-qp4uo
      @AB-qp4uo 3 роки тому

      Kaolin Clay is a good substitute

    • @brismithereeno
      @brismithereeno 2 роки тому

      The use of cornstarch in bath bombs is to act as a hardener so you can also use arrowroot powder, or a combo of kaolin clay and cream of tartar which will give a nice fizz. Tapioca starch is another substitute but I have not used that yet

    What substitute can i use instead of citric acid?

    • @ShikaApathetic
      @ShikaApathetic 3 роки тому +1

      Cream of tartar or lime juice. You’ll need different amounts though and you won’t get as much fizz, just a few bubbles.
