I knew Gary from the 80s and 90s he used to be a regular on the kickboxing circuit. He used to pop over to Huddersfield all the time, used to learn so much listening to his stories! Once went over to train in one of his applied karate classes in Liverpool. Great martial artist and a very interesting man. Carnt wait to watch the full podcast. All the best

Another quality clip. Love these pal, once these legends and characters die out very little material coming through to replace these or even surpass these icons 🫶💪😬

Terry was my brother in law. Absolute gentleman. Trained with him for years and saw him many a time apply his trade on the doors .No drama just explosive and clinical. If that roundhouse kick came your way you were going to feel pain and plenty of it 😎😎😎😎

I met Gary 36 years ago in my brothers night club . He was wearing flip flops and would flip them off and kick you in the head lightly as his party piece. I was only 17 then and I was in awe of him everyone was to be fair . He purposely grew his toe nails long so they would slice your skin open . Dangerous man

when you mentioned paul davies on the palmer podcast bill i was gonna ask is it my arl mate,i worked with paul on the barfly and garlands.a monster of a jui jitsu mush, absolute gentleman and a pleasure to work with, used to make the night go quicker when i was paired up with him.i just tried to make him laugh all night as he has the most infectious laugh which would egg me on,not joking a pleasure to work with bill.no ego,no hardcase horseshit "he's a shithouse, that ones a shithouse, his nan's a shithouse" all that crap, plus 30/40 per cent of doormen(and that's being generous)are rat bastard back stabbing snides, all handshakes and smiles but would step over their dying nan for a extra tenner.think that's why me and him got on so well as he's someone you can count on,converse with on any subect and just a general all round good egg.great seeing him on here and pass on my regards pls bill and tell him i miss the laughs with them.happy new year bill
