I feel like all of his value lies in sustain from supports, otherwise he dies in a milisecond
Yea, definitely a glass tank. You also have to hit ur shots or else ur little sustain takes a massive dive. Not that having to aim is necessarily bad lol, just adds to the difficulty of staying up.

@@back1000able I mean I guess lol, but he’s one by design (probably atleast, unless they expected him to be stronger then he is), not as a result of power creep lol.
@@back1000ableMauga especially because he doesnt have an ability that reduces his damage taken or blocks or absorbs anything, he has his fortify but it lasts for like 3 seconds and he is basically forced to run into the enemy unless you use it like an escape tool but then you cant use its benefits anyways. His sustain relies on him damaging and enemy, forced to use an ability and needs to deal damage to get healing, not to mention that his sustain is healing based which makes him extremely vulnurable to anti grenade, even more so than roadhog because he doesnt get his healing quickly. like roadhog does, and his healing cooldown is extremely long. He has a giant hitbox like roadhog and his headbox hitbox is the second largest out of all characters except for dva and orisa. But unlike them he doesnt have anything that blocks his head. He needs buffs. I'd say all other tanks, even roadhog who is considered the worst tank in the game are better.
He needs some bit of armor
He does a lot of damage but i see its mostly vs other magua players. With their ability they can easily keep shooting at each other for ages without dying. I played a game against another Mauga and we both had same comp with bap and ana. I did like 50k dmg because we both had immortality and nano inside the cage so we just shot at each other without needing to reload and dying, plus our ability to heal at crits. That just resulted in insane damage but still 50k damage with 20 kills...
1:33 its not a bug. His charge is unstoppable. Meaning he negates all crowd control
He happened to be charging already so he continued running.
If you get ulted before charging then you will be stuck.

You CAN NOT play this tank at lower levels.. The supports will NOT focus on keeping you a live.. You'll have a DPS moria and lucio.. This tank dies SUPER quick so you HAVE to have the support on your butt at all times and have DPS that can handle their own with good positions, which does NOT happen at low levels
if enemy mauga starts the charge before u ult and doesn't stop he can go through it without getting trapped

I did 24k - 35k damage in all my games as mauga. My best game has 42 elims. He does double the total dmage of dps and keeps up with support heals with his own healing/mit.

His audio is bugged I believe. He sounds equally as loud on your team as he does on the enemy team when he fires his weapon and has the exact same voice line when he ults regardless of team for some reason

The whole reason why you even had any fun on Mauga is cause of the Ana on your team, Ana just breaks the whole game with her anti nade, heck most GOATS games had Ana on the team cuz she negates all enemy healing, which I didn't mind since it changed the philosophy of metas and having a Meta breaker was a good change, but having ANA herself be Meta is NOT fun at all
thats only possible against another mauga, actually if you look closely, when mauga is played there are many more ultimates than normal, he is the ultimate damage farm and ult battery, unlike hog he has the ability to sustain taking absurd amounts of damage continuously, he can just be in the open taking hits, tho if you play mauga against any other tank you will see that he has normal tank numbers, the reason for that numbers is not that he has too much damage, its actually that he has too much sustain that he can just stay in the meat grinder much longer tank any other tank, but only if you have another ult battery in front of him to leech from

He's very reliant on support or dps to dive otherwise he just disappears and can't do much
Mauga have insanely huge head so if you are in duel always headshot him even with that spread it's possible to outheadshot him if he's only aiming at body not head.
Mauga has passive for doing critical damage for normal damage. I don't think headshot crit stacks with his passive so headshots might not be ass effective as for sure body crits
I enjoy using 76 or Ana when I see this hero 😂

It is so easy to deal alot of dmg with this guy when the enemy team has a mauga as well. I think the hero is a little tasteless. Lot of the time you are just shootinf from mid range doing a lot of damage and thats it
Why isn't he right clicking after the target is on fire?
38 k damage is insane. Not surprised that yeatle got it tho. Smart players live long enough to do that damage. Mauga is broken, burn damage is insane as can run away whenever. Should nerf some cds on him to balance him out.

how does mitigation work on this hero?
Creates overhealth on crit damage (think doomfist overhealth on ability hits) and blocks damage with ult (1500 hp shield). Both his abilities also reduce damage taken similarily to orisa fortify or cass roll.

Why would you ever want a tank like this tho? It's already bad enough that supports have a dps mindset but this guy is literally going to give tank players the same exact mindset. At least roadhog doesn't destroy every other tank in seconds.

You have not played this character for yourself. Having charge on a 5 sec cooldown is fucking insane. The aoe stun goes crazy and the steering opens up opportunities for sick plays/escapes. I don’t think people are playing him correctly by poking and not using charge on cooldown I love this character

the thing I dont like about him is that he is a hard counter to Ramattra, hog, maybe Orisa and maybe rein and winston. But you can not play ram against him because their in the same range but he does so much more damage. sucks as a ram main :/

From what I've played, any barriers hard counter him. So rein feels pretty good into him from the match I played. The armor rein has is pretty good into his poke and all he has to do is shield so mauga can't use his E or get overhealth allowing his team to fight back.
Im fine with a busted tank that is fun to play because orisa screwing over half the tank roster was stupid and it killed everyones fun
