i was in Central & South America, driving Maschinenfabrik Augsburg Nurnberg Big rigs all over " Deadhead " from 2000 to 2016 was very tempted to drive up into Mexico, USA and Canada, with a MAN SE truck
Butchering manufacturer names and words seems to be a tradition on this channel and for Americans in general. Scania and Daimler are two I've heard them mispronounce here.
@@ExternalInputs I understand it, I Mean for Americans if they see a name while they haven't heard it, they just pronounce it like they think it's good, just like I would, if it wasn't a name from my own language or English
I am working in the production part of this MAN company in Munich, but I have a university degree in computer science and international experience in sales and importing fields of raw materials ..so I hope to talk with the HR manager in future because I can work in Middle East and Asia markets if they provide me a little training
Great video 😎 I don't know does they still have, but early TG-series equipped with manual gearbox had both: clutch pedal and clucth button on gear knob, it was a nice feature. Can't remember can you stop or pull off using only button, because i used that button only on the move and pedal when stopping or pulling off.
Hi, I am an MAN truck dealer in S.Korea and love your video. May I translate yours into Korean and upload it? I hope you will allow it for Korean truckers and people working for related industry. Beg for your leniency. Just this one. Thanks in advance.
Generally a good video, but no mention of Rudolph Diesel and his invention that changed the world, whilst working at M.A.N M.A.N also made a few more aquisitions such as ERF, OAF, Styer and Neoplan
Renault,Berliet,Latil,Bernard,Citroèn,Unic,Willeme,Krupp,Bussing,Magirus,Magirus-Deutz,Henschel,Hanomag,Kaeble,Faun, Fiat,Alfa Romeo,Lancia,OM,Isotta Frascini and meni more.
Really a Good informative Video.👍 And I don't want to give the super direct rude German.... But.... Oh boy the stereotypical mistake.... MAN is not spelled MAN, it's not a male human. MAN is spelled letter by letter. M×A×N, from Maschinenfabrik Augsburg Nürnberg. If said as a word, it turns footnails upside down.... especially for germans.
As a qualified mechanic and driver, I could not think of a bigger turd to drive. Same as Mercedes, Scania, and Volvo. Personal opinion only. Keep up the fine work guys.
Also as a qualified mechanic and driver, they’re some of the most comfortable and best driving trucks on the road, like most euro trucks…. BUT, only when they’re on the road 😂
I was in Iraq in 2004 through March 2006 the man trucks were the biggest pieces of junk there ever was. On convoys they would have major break downs and has to be left behind. Almost as bad as freightliner with a DD15 engine junk from the factory
They bought some of their engines in the USA as an International MaxxForce. They were really really bad too. The MaxxForce 13 liter engine was based on a MAN engine.

Nice I was waiting for this video, thanks, BTW the name is pronounced as 3 individual capital letters, greetings from the Netherlands.

MAN is an abbreviation for Maschinenfabriken Augsberg und Nurenberg - they make some really great trucks
For me the best
*Maschinenfabrik Augsburg und Nürnberg. But you tried, german is a hard language
Funny how the MaxxForce 13 liter was a MAN engine. They were rolling piles of junk.

Probably the worst commentary I have ever heard.
It would be cool if you can make the histoire of italian trucks : Fiat and after iveco trucks
An interesting thing about the MAN VW is that the cabin comes from the first generation vw LT Van and was also used in america on Peterbilts
How about a video on the history of Renault trucks.

This is the truck that you will see in all European roads)))
I had driven a Ford l9000 cabover with a MAN engine with a 13 speed tranny on it , very powerful and quiet ! Lover Those Euro trucks 👍

You didn't mention that they had acquired ERF trucks.
What about the ERF take over

History of ERF Trucks
Just an idea for a future show, you guys should look at the history of Corbitt Motors Company, as that company eventually focused on long haul trucks.
Love the idea - we will add it to the list!!

So what would in your educated option not be a “turd” truck?
its M. A. N. not man
4:30. Bad English. Unique or not unique. Nothing can be "very unique".
Volks Brazil Trucks. Rezende State Rio de Janeiro Brazil
Its spelled emm A enn.

It's M.A.N. spoken, not man.

Their maintenance would have been scarse. I know MAN trucks are reliable
