I live in south texas, about an hours drive away from the Mexico border. I used these brand gloves exclusively when I was boxing from 2006-2011. Gloves that my coach had provided for us to use in the gym. Was hoping to find a pair to use for old times sake but can’t seem to find any.
You could make another MMA 6oz glove with the excess of padding that you found here. I don't think that this will enhance any opinions of Zepol gloves.
Well, let me just say that i have a pair of zepol boxing gloves profesional hecho en mexico color all white that i bought back in 1999 in mexico city. I was over there visiting relatives and my cousin at the time was a professional boxer. I told him i wanted to buy a pair of professional boxing gloves and he then took me where he would buy his gloves. It was very mysterious that he told me to wait in the car but i guess they didn't want no one to know the house where they make them. But it was a house. I still have them till this day.
@@joeygonzo necalli is casanova. I really enjoy my classics but its preference end of day. But casanova i find are on a much higher level then classics.
I’m an amateur coach and the palm down hooks is preferred in amateur boxing as thumb up can more easy turn into a slap Yes Adidas Adispeed do feel great on the bag but I prefer them for my sparring
Love the metallic leather Simon I just got 3 pairs of custom grant 16 oz and 4 grant groin guards Some kid found 5 gloves and 5 groin guards brand new at a flea market paid 75 for all They are 1k easy per pair of gloves What a story
Can’t post pics on UA-cam Grant label on inner cuff Made in mexico tag 100% leather metallic colors They are all real. I have quite a glove collection Def know real from fake grants
Palomares gloves are bad IMO. Best Mexican gloves are probably Reyes, Grant, New Sporting, and recently everybody is talking about Boxeo TM gloves, everybody say that TM Gloves are better than Grant and Winning, i Haven tried them but You should check them if you can.
I would Definitely agree with that but then as they weigh so much over the label that maybe people with smaller hands and frame would want gloves closer to the stated label
@@rico1k13 Hey Rico, and were you able to follow up until the end to get your order? It is actually through WhatsApp with them where I've got the far in process, however, wasn't ever able to get my order produced and responses have always been very intermittent.
I recently picked up some union fighting gloves (muay Thai version). Can be bought at thegymgeek.co.uk . I think they are pretty nice, but then again, I’ve only had minimal experience with boxing gloves and compared to my Lonsdale pro training gloves anything is phenomenal. I wanted to know your opinions on it, seems to be a fairly new uk based company, took a little bit to break in but after a few bag sessions I think you can judge them fairly as they are. I would like to know if I’ve perhaps struck gold and ended up with a nice low price brand to be loyal to, or if I should move along and get something else when they eventually wear down. Thanks for reading, I hope you review them eventually :)
I just love the shotgun sound these gloves makes when snapping.
Great sound and feedback
On the last 5 or 8 years of the life of Aureliano (the original Zepol) the guy who made the gear was Roberto Gil ( Gil brand) his son in law.
I still have some Zepols from 2015 -- my main sparring gloves I use. Fantastic gloves. The best gloves I've ever owned.
The wrist padding looks similar to Classics Mexicombate version, it comes with a huge padding in its wrist.
Guys making Classics, Zepol, Lopez and Gil are family related to each other somehow.

I think Zepol itself went under, but they still make gloves under two other names: Gil and Lopez
And classics mx who are made by previous zepol worker / family

cool gloves, dope review.
Is a brand out there who Made a mix from horsehair and pu in 14-16 oz?
Is there a reason why you prefer to throw horizontal left hooks instead of vertical? Do you think of the Adidas 501 as good bag gloves?

Hi Simon which one would u recommend fly superlaces or winnings
I would definitely recommend both
Both are top quality
My current pound for pound champion is fly SUPERLACE

Palomares originally made baseball gear, not boxing gear and IMO it is not one of the biggest boxing gear brands in México.
