    Living in Maine for the last five years, followed you about a year ago when I started training to be a shipyard welder. Now all of a sudden I click on your video and see the field where I used to cheer for my high school football team. Great work from a born and raised Spearfishian! 🫡🐝

    Not a criticism but just curious why the railing was continued onto the landing and against the retaining wall? Thanks.

    Hey Austin, new welder here. Any reason you went with 3/16 instead of something thinner like 1/8 or even 14ga? I’ve only worked with 3/16 tubing a couple of times but it seems like it’s pretty heavy duty for that application.

    • @midstatewelding3194
      @midstatewelding3194 3 місяці тому

      Hey it’s Rodney the customer wanted that thickness, normal would be 1/8” and I wouldn’t ever want to go less than that just for longevity. Hope that helps!

    No screwing anchors are hands-down stronger than any wedge anchor

    I don't get it? Wayyy back when I was in college a project like this would have been handled in-house by the school or one of the school affiliates. What I mean is Trades students would do the project without the need to hire a contractor.

    • @JarheadCrayonEater
      @JarheadCrayonEater 3 місяці тому

      That's the unfortunate thing about modern schools. They're getting rid of trades and pushing for college or university. Telling kids they can be managers on day one at a new job.

    Wanted to ask if trump wins and opens back up the pipelines and the pipeline business starts booming. Do you think you might go back into that field again or is your mobile welding business doing really well now?

    • @arosswelding

      If I go back into pipeline work as an employee it will be temporary or I will have my own pipeline/ pipe welding/ fabricating company
