How wonderful that Petra has boots, so much softer on her feet and easier to treat and keep clean. Does she need them for her back feet? I'm praying that Petra will recover, she is getting Love and Care that most draft horses do not get and I'm praying this is what will pull her through. She didn't get this bad overnight so it will take some time to recover for sure, hopefully she is not one that is prone to abscesses. Thank you, Thank you All. Moon Family you are very special people and you hold a special place in my Heart!! Taking on a sick draft horse is a major learning curve due to her weight, bearing most of that weight dominance on her front feet, not being in balance can cause the weight bearing hoof to crack. Her new boots could be the very thing that saves her feet and her life. I have cried tears of joy over her new boots - THANK YOU!!!!

Easyboot Clouds are the best! My 31 year old quarter horse went through abscesses that all blew out from his soles on his front hooves. I used every hardener out there, wrapped his hooves. My vet told me I had to either put shoes or something on his hooves in order for them to heal. I got a pair of Clouds, Shake immediately started walking 90% better. He has since healed completely. These boots definitely worked for my old guy.
Thank you for clearing out the workshop. Having lived on a farm, I know how much 'stuff' can be found! You can use the demijohns for wine making. It's lovely to Petra and Nanny recovering. Hopefully Petra's hooves heal and can be improved by the farrier in the near future. Love to you all ❤
NICK and JENNY sounds like you need to plan a new stable block ? Maybe fundraise for just that purpose. People will help when they see their money in action. After all it’s sweat equity and material and I bet all the friends would come over and help… you do need the workshop !

Those abscess take time and with zjennys live and her new shoes I can see her frocklicing in the fields soon. Your hard work and dedication to these magnificent creatures is amazing.
Those new boots are wonderful. And having the new 'stable' is great. The new ladies are making great progress. I like the idea of cutting a window into the wall so they can see out into the garden so they can visit with Rupert as he tends his veg and flowers.

its a shame some of the wood billy takes to the tip from the convent doesnt come your way to repurpose it and help with building and repair costs to the stables. i know its still early stages, but how lovely to see how well the girls are doing now and despite all the trauma theyve been through the trust and love they are giving back to you all. the girls have truly landed on their feet because you've rescued them and giving them the love and life they deserve
