Man, I'm gonna sound old haha. But Primeknit started being known in 2014/2015? But for your information, the upper is just an Engineered Mesh (Nike used this a ton on their 2008-2012 hoop shoes I feel like, such as the Hyperfuse, a real dope model as well.) The cushion is Lunarlon, was pretty ahead of its time when they first came out, but the issue was it stiffening/bottoming out for some quickly. You are right about the Zoom unit being in the heel on some of these, I have a color with that drop in setup myself.
From what I recall this was a helluva shoe ahead of its time (just like most Kobes.) I feel these, the 6s, and 1s are probably the best ones out the line, but dope that you got to give these a go!
