At least the climb up/down in in the central shaft, protected from wind.
Imagine having to climb up a cell phone tower or a transmission line tower.

you get use to it, your brain will tune it out, it'll become background white noise.

The cheapest and cleanest form of energy available. Now we need national fleets of electric cars, buses and trucks to store and use the energy. Maybe in 10 years the only oil we'll need will be for specialty plastics and vaseline.
just hopefully they figure out better batteries, less mining, and less waste, more energy for smaller size. We're currently just moving from mining oil to mining lithium, and lithium isn't unlimited either, nor is it anywhere close to be good for the environment.
@@gwot Reviving passenger rail and other investments in mass transit would provide even greater cost-effective benefits. Funny how everyone wants to talk about how to get more energy, yet no conversation about changing our energy-wasting behavior to better conserve the energy we already have. Human nature, I guess.
@@JesseMorgan24 I just saw a few videos about public transit systems in North America, and how it is so far behind. Car and oil companies bought up transit carts and paved over rails and tracks after ww2 to force people to buy cars and oil. Like you said, human nature, greed. China in 10 years built over 30 high-speed trains, USA is still trying to build their first.
@@gwot I've always heard it was auto makers like GM who took down mass transit in the U.S. when cars were gaining popularity but that's sort of a conspiracy theory
@@JesseMorgan24 I don't think it was a theory. They know who bought them out, and fact is, tracks were paved over for freeways. Now Chinese companies are taking over making ev buses and creating infrastructure and more transit routes in the US. Sad that China is actually making the US better, and US politicians don't care cuz it doesn't benefit them.
