I visited this stunning wedding venue in Italy with my wife while being on holidays at Lake Como, Italy.

From the beginning to the end of the trip I was filming and taking stills to show the beauty and amazing location of the Villa Balbianello.
Villa Balbianello is one of most beautiful destination wedding venues I ever visited. It is in the Lake Como, Italy surrounded by amazing mountains and luxury villas.
One of the scenes of Cafe Royal was filmed at this place with James Bond.
The Star Wars film was film there too.
The venue is vailbale for lavish parties and luxury destination weddings for couple around the world.

Magnificent Italy. I don't have a view of water,but a superb view of mountains. The house is beautiful, not on this scale obviously. Much has been made by hand by local artisans. Anyone wish to buy it ?

Немного истории: до середины 16-го века на месте виллы была небольшая францисканская обитель, от которой и по сей день остался узкий фасад церкви и две колокольни. В конце 18-го века, в 1787 году, кардинал Анджело Дурини приобрел мыс Лаведо на озере Комо, на котором стояла обитель, и задумал построить здесь усадьбу для отдыха и литературного досуга. В 1797 году кардинал умер, и усадьбу унаследовал его племянник, Луиджи Порро Ламбертенги - патриот и борец против австрийского господства, который устраивал здесь сходки своих единомышленников-масонов. В связи с отъездом в Бельгию Ламбертенги был вынужден продать виллу своему другу, Джузеппе Арконати Висконти, при котором Бальбьянелло стала летним светским салоном, в котором собирались известные писатели. Род Висконти постепенно угас, и вилла постепенно приходила в запустение, пока в 1919 году ее не купил американский генерал Батлер Эймс, который провел большие реставрационные работы, восстановил интерьер и старинную мебель, принадлежавшую Висконти. Он полностью отреставрировал виллу и отвел ее часть под собранную им за долгие годы коллекцию произведений искусства и предметов, привезенных из собственных путешествий и экспедиций (человеком Гвидо был неугомонным, настоящим страстным любителем приключений и путешественником, поднимался на Эверест, участвовал в экспедиции на Северный полюс). В 1988 году он умер, завещав виллу, парк и средства на их содержание Фонду по охране исторических памятников Италии.
Сегодня на вилле часто проводятся свадебные церемонии, многие приезжают просто прогуляться по живописному саду, насладиться тишиной и спокойствием и, конечно же, пофотографировать - с виллы открываются удивительные панорамные виды на озеро Комо.
Интересно посетить музей, который организовал последний владелец - путешественник Гвидо Монцини. В музее хранятся предметы африканского, индейского, китайского искусства. Мебель 1700-годов, привезенная из Англии и Франции гармонично дополняет интерьеры залов и комнат.

с 15 марта по 9 ноября с 10 до 18, кроме понедельника и среды. Доступ в парк прекращается в 17.15, на виллу с 16.30

Thank you, I used 12-35 most of the time handheld and with glidecam. I used 35-100 in 1-2 shots, I think.
Et oui, c'est un des endroits les plus magiques de la planète. C'est pas un hasard si a été tournée là la scène d'"amour" de Star War III ( "amour" car c'est un amour qui tourne très mal, c'est le moins que l'on puisse dire )
