It's Boxing Day in Canada too Simon. We have many many English influences here. Thanks for the explanation of "Boxing Day"...makes total sense. Just 'enough' snow here this year & fairly mild temps - makes for an easy holiday weather-wise.
Happy Holidays to you and yours from Ontario Canada

I was just talking to my Nan in Liverpool yesterday... she said they have a lot of snow. I told her how Canada hasn't had any yet this year, and how nice it was for a change.
There's now a foot of it on the ground, and it's still going strong.

Happy Christmas, I thought the soap dish was a container to put a spent tea bag in. Then the liquid could be poor back in the cup or pot. Silly Yankee I am. Thanks for the video. Claire

Wow, the squeeze at minute 10:50, the pot looked like gel, really soft, but it still didn't collapse!

The holiday is named Boxing Day because the tradition of giving gifts of cash, food, clothing and other goods to the less fortunate were placed into boxes for easier transportation. The goods were distributed based on the family needs and their services to the giver.

@lilmommysteff not to sound harsh or mean but i don't think anyone "masters" wheel throwing. you can always keep learning and improving on yourself

The soap dish needs a turtle head :)

To littlebigprominence: Pulling the plastic off some one else's pieces is just plain rude. You may want to put a piece of paper with your name on it on your ware so they know its not theirs, or complain loudly, although I'm sure you've done both. Perhaps you can persuade your teachers to address the problem in class.
To keep your stuff from getting a wrinkled texture from the plastic try putting a piece of newspaper over the ware and under the plastic. Keeps the plastic from touching.
