Videos give me chills 🤦🏻♀️, how beautiful is our country , sad to see so many buildings looking depressed and unloved , would be nice to see someone repair and relove these places xxxx
I just found your channel and now I'm going through the playlist. I wanted to stop and tell you that you have a real talent for showing the true beauty of the places you film. I dont know that I'll ever get a chance to view the places of other countries, So I'm glad I get a chance to see them through these videos, especially before they are removed.
Beautiful imagery! An aire of mystery. Great textures and subtle colors in the stone work etc. Loved the birds too, especially the white one flying inside.
@somedudem8 Yeah alot of the castle wasn't accessible as the floors had been removed, I was trying to get as much of the details as possible, did you enjoy the video though?
+Abandoned Scotland done a little vid myself but it's all unedited as I don't know how lol was there two days ago I love the quality of your vids awesome😀
+GoProMIKEY I liked the walk around I'd definitely like to see if much has changed since our last visit, thanks for saying so we'll have more videos every week starting from next month :)
I have been to a few Castles/Ruins in Scotland but this looks like one of the best! Stayed at Loch Awe back in April and looked all over Kilchurns Castle. Great Film 5/5 Tam
Hello great video, have grown up fascinated with this castle, have been inside many times over the years. It is a stunning piece of architecture, and it's so sad that it is in such disrepair. The entire estate was amazing, it had some spectacular greenhouses as well as the stables. But sadly this talk of a golf course is just that, talk. They bought it nearly 10 years ago and have done nothing with it, besides stabilising it and examining the ground for artifacts, and to make sure the ground was good for building on. I would love for someone to rescue her, but it would cost millions and millions to put the castle back to its former glory. Ever since a child playing here, I've vowed I would one day buy it. I would still love to do that, but i'm a student right now, so need to save up a bit haha :)
Do you know how much money this estate sold for the last time and how much land went with it?Ive always been curious what kind of money these huge old abandoned estates go for.
Brilliant film. Would kill to visit sites like this and others you have. THis is due for rennovation isnt it, but I cant find any latest info on how far they are progressing.
@pecka2k Yeah it was meant to be getting turned into a Leisure site with a possible golf course but I think due to finances it has been put on hold just now.
Maybe one reason it has not been renovated is that it's on some list and listed houses are a PAIN in the arse to redo .. takes forever to get permissions and it's a constant battle . so kind of understand why no one took it on.
Yeah I understand some people love to see these places preserved as a ruin but being in a rural location I just think it would be better to have a functional purpose so people can enjoy it but that's just my personal opinion. As long as it's preserved and maintained in some way.
It's sad to know all this glory will be reduced to what is essentially a golfing shack......1679 and the year's following it were some of the most exciting in Scotland's history! Loyal jacobite's may have been plotting behind those wall's! Or maybe Covenanter's! ....Charlie himself might have been there!
Yeah it's in ayrshire near old daily...there was plans to turn it into a luxury hotel the owners were ritz carlton and they had plans for a golf course desinged by jack nickalaus but think was scrapped when the reccesion hit....
seems its to get a new lease of life after all :-) found a story on the world golf website saying ritz carlton has bought it and plans o turn it into a gold hotel resort.
a good many of them were either seriously damaged by fire, no fire doors in those days, or were abandoned after the first world war, so many died it was difficult to get the staff to run them or the owners were so seriously affected financially that they sold the roof and internal woodwork, windows, floors etc and then left the place, no taxes to pay on it then as not habital.
This is so very sad. You can still see its beauty, but its a sad beauty. When this was first built you know it was truly beautiful!!!!
NAVMAR16 please save these a some how😢

I agree although I really do wish it could be renovated and preserved properly.
Beautiful! I especially like the birds viewed through the window.
Stunning, love the music!
i love the music to your videos its so tranquil and really makes you think about these places when they were used beautiful

Amazing that these places still exist. And still beautiful even in disrepair.
truly awesome video and stills. you gave this place a whole new splendor, great work!!!!
@lee2217 Yeah the main structure still seems relatively fine, hopefully it can be renovated.
@bjazzo02 Thanks, yeah I prefer my SLR now as well tbh but the camcorder can take some great zoom shots.
I was at Dalquharran recently it is awesome . the last clips was old Dalquharran very nice vid
+GoProMIKEY Yeah Dalquharran is an amazing place, I might need to re-visit soon :)

Shadows and light. Brilliant work.
@davidgrahamscott For this video I was using a Panasonic SD60 but later on I've used a Canon 600D as well.
I grew up next to this castle, it's beautiful inside and out
Wow. You grew up next to this castle. It's in Scotland is it not?
@@MrEdkern yeah, in a little village called Dailly😊
@@codiesgaffx.419I live a few miles down the road from THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME in cleveland, ohio.
@@codiesgaffx.419did you play around the castle when you were little?

@Abandoned Scotland: Thanks for reassuring me that I wasn't hallucinating and seeing faces that weren't there!
@dramaguy1000 Definitely I agree, Dalquharran was well worth a visit.
Brilliant film. Would kill to visit sites like this and others you have. THis is due for rennovation isnt it, but I cant find any latest info on how far they are progressing.
@URBANsrc Yeah that's the one, it's in Dailly just outside of Girvan.
Yeah it's in Ayrshire, near a place called Dailly.
@venus9151 Thanks for saying so :)
@pecka2k Yeah it was meant to be getting turned into a Leisure site with a possible golf course but I think due to finances it has been put on hold just now.
wow so nice. thank you for sharing.
i want to buy this place i want my own castle will the trust sell it or would they lease it to me ?
@linuxfrik I think this is one of the places where painting isn't needed personally :)
@LJdeHayward Thanks I appreciate it :)
You went a bit mad with the zoom in zoom out.
Maybe one reason it has not been renovated is that it's on some list and listed houses are a PAIN in the arse to redo .. takes forever to get permissions and it's a constant battle . so kind of understand why no one took it on.

It was built to be inhabited; not some romantic ruin.
@3dwurli Yeah it is a shame, we visited both castles they were excellent particularly in nice weather!
Such a lovely design what a shame letting go like that.
Its a shame that one of Robert Adams buildings has fallen into this state. The old castle at the bottom of the grounds is impressive too.
@Cindygem Yeah it is a shame Cindy, hopefully one day it can be renovated.
@ZombieGate Thanks, yeah it is an amazing place.
this video is great but i like your vids shot with the SLR better than the camcorder ..just my opinion
@toodance Thanks toodance appreciate the comment! :)
@LJdeHayward Haha yeah there is definitely a face, it was on the path into the old castle. It must have been part of a grand entrance into it.
Yeah it's in ayrshire near old daily...there was plans to turn it into a luxury hotel the owners were ritz carlton and they had plans for a golf course desinged by jack nickalaus but think was scrapped when the reccesion hit....
hello awsome video wanted to ask you is this castel still abandon.
@Vertigo1871 Thanks appreciate it :)
considering all the roof was removed in the late 60's its still in surprising good condition
seems its to get a new lease of life after all :-) found a story on the world golf website saying ritz carlton has bought it and plans o turn it into a gold hotel resort.
where abouts is this? is it in ayrshire? im having trouble finding it online :)
Really nice work. What camera do you use?
There is an abandoned church with no roof or windows where the light shines through it was restored as an events house but looked better before.
@latexface1 Yeah I believe it is still abandoned.
Tchenks. SUPER. Amen.
Fantastic place, some painting is needed though :)
we belived that the cleaner it is the more existing of sprits are there
a good many of them were either seriously damaged by fire, no fire doors in those days, or were abandoned after the first world war, so many died it was difficult to get the staff to run them or the owners were so seriously affected financially that they sold the roof and internal woodwork, windows, floors etc and then left the place, no taxes to pay on it then as not habital.
Why would anyone abandon a castle...i would love to live in one.
@LaughingPsycho Thanks :)
@chukcanuk Thanks :)
seriously??? so what happened? why did your family leave and left abandoned? so cool if you truly did
So sad it has to be destroyed by vandals 😢😢😢😢😢
Paul McCartney could save this formerly-beautiful building!
ive been here
2 many fab builds ruined because of that STUPID law, 2 remove roofs, 2 prove no 1 living there, 2 make it tax exempt.
if i could get it for free id restore it
The castle has been infested with bad spirits and whoever touches it to renovate will turn into stone....
Five minutes and fifty three seconds dream
No you did not .A spirit told me not to believe you .
Am I hallucinating or is there a face at 5:16 to 5:23? It looks like a man or a lion. If no one else sees it then I guess I'd better have a checkup!
