@Oliver Paton, The company logo on the strings is a stencil that is drawn on the strings once the racquet is strung. You can get any stencil on any string. Andy, TW
Control is great with both of them, and tension maintenance is better than average for co-polys. Spin potential and grip on the ball is a bit better with Hyper-G with its more squared profile, but maybe a bit more precise and predictable feel with Poly Plasma. Troy, TW
Not big differences, I have always had a slight preference for the orange as it feels a bit firmer or crisper as we often say. However the pearly white color does feel a bit softer and livelier, so that could be a benefit for some. Troy, TW
Pretty similar overall, but with the Hex shape you should notice an increase in the spin potential, giving it some added grip on ball. With the regular or round version of Poly Plasma, it won't have quite as much bite on the ball, but a bit more predictable response, and maybe just a bit more durability. Troy, TW
Hello, how would you compare Signum PPP with Isospeed Baseline Control and/or Speed strings? Especially in the context of playability, tension loss and stiffness?
In terms of stiffness, this Poly Plasma is pretty close to the Baseline Control, both on the medium to firm side for polys. Tension maintenance is better with Poly Plasma, as it holds up well over time, for a poly. Playability wise, Poly Plasma has decent feel, and pocketing for a poly, but is primarily a very reliable, control oriented poly. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thank you very much. Can I assume that spin potentials and durabilities of these two are not hugely different? If so, that makes the case (at least for me) more towards the SPPP.
Hi Andy, I really enjoy playing with the Signum Pro Poly Fiber Titan and its goes really well with Pure Aero. I believe this string is not available anymore. Could you please tell me what are some similar strings to it or any model that succeeded Poly Fiber Titan? I really liked Poly Fiber Titan's long tension maintenance, soft feeling, power and spin production.
@ Manab Chetia, This string is an evolution off of Titan, so the playability will be similar. Poly Plasma will be slightly softer and more comfortable, but you'll still get good tension maintenance and spin. Andy, TW
how does Signum Pro Plasma HEXtreme 16L 1.25 Orange String comapre to Signum Pro Poly Plasma in terms of spin, power, feel, tdnsion maintenance and durability.
@ Vortex Designs, HEXtreme will offer a bit more spin and power while the standard version will offer better control and durability. They will be similar in terms of arm-friendliness. Andy, TW
I am planning to use Babolat Pure Drive Tour racket with this string. Would you recommend this string with that racket? For this racket, using only Signum Pro Poly Plasma VS mixing Signum pro with other string such as RPM blast rough. Any opinion? Also, Would 50-48 or 52-50 tension which I am used to be appropriate? Sorry for so many questions and thank you for the video it was a lot of help.
You could give this one a try, as it is a pretty good option for control, and tension maintenance. We haven't tried mixing this one with another poly string, but if you want to experiment, with a rough or shaped string in the mains, then it could be worth a try. As far as the tension goes, it really just depends on the player. Some of our playtesters, such as myself prefer to string a bit lower, like around 47 or 48 pounds, and some of our playtesters like it a bit higher, like around 54 pounds, so it can vary. I would probably try the 52-50 and see how that goes. Troy, TW
Hi is it possible to hybrid this string set up as I'm using head radical pro and I want power control and spin. More of control and spin. I want medium control perhaps those strings that'll be like point and shoot.would signum pro plasma be suitable for my game?
How do u guys compare this string with Signum Pro Plasma HEXtreme, and which you guys think that fit better in a baseliners big hitter play style? My current set up is a Yonex Vcore 95 (2021) with the standart version of SPPP 1.28 and sometimes i think that, unless i go full comited to the swing, i wont get enought bite and spin on the ball... I played with tour bite once with my racket and i found perfectly match, but where i live is an expensive string, so i wonder if we can compare plasma Hextreme with tour bite at anypoint
The Plasma Hextreme will play pretty similarly to Plasma, but with that Hex shape you should notice more bite, and overall spin potential. Definitely worth a try if you like Plasma, but want some added bite and spin. Troy, TW
Personally, I really like the crisp feel, and tension maintenance of the Poly Plasma. That said, Ultra Cable will be the more spin friendly of the two. I would go with Poly Plasma, but I also don't mind a round shaped co-poly, if you want to maximize ball bite then go Ultra Cable. Troy, TW
+tenniswarehouse, Hello, Andy! I used to play with Yonex Poly Tour Pro 125, but its hard to find around here, I would like try another one. This poly plasma is similar? I like how poly tour pro can slip to spin, poly plasma can do that? I use to string 53lbs on yonex, should I drop it down to the poly plasma? Thank you very much!
+Ricardo Debeis , Well first of all, we offer both of those strings, so if you'd like to purchase Poly Tour Pro you could do so through Tennis Warehouse. As for how it compares to Poly Plasma, Poly Tour Pro will be softer and livelier while PP will offer more control, tension maintenance and spin. I'd recommend trying it at 51 or 52 lbs to account for the added stiffness. Andy, TW
I have a tennis elbow that I don't want to aggravate , I went on TW to buy a Steam 99LS and in the feedback section some people said it was source of elbow sourness ... Since you did a video on the Steam 99S that is a very similar racket , could you give me your opinion ?
@Thomas Bourlon, The weight of the racquet will play a role in how arm-friendly it will be. If it's too light for you, it won't absorb enough shock from your shot and it will disperse up into your arm. However, if the racquet's too heavy it will fatigue your arm and hurt it. So, if you feel like the LS is too light for you you may want to try the S. However, if you feel the weight is just right for you, then you may want to try a softer racquet. Andy, TW
@Thomas Bourlon, Lead tape would certainly help add weight to the racquet. Try putting in different places and see what setup works best for you. Andy, TW
@Rui Miranda, We found little to no difference between the two colors. In general, lighter/whiter strings tend to be just a tad softer than darker ones. Andy, TW
Hi Andy, Which strings have the most similar feelings as the Signum Pro Poly Fiber Titan? I really like Signum Pro Poly Fiber Titan for its soft feeling and power on the Pure Aero.
Hey tennis warehouse, I just finished my reel of 1.23 poly plasma, I play with pure aero 2016 25kg. Is it still the best value string out there? In europe its below 60€ the 200m reel. Something else I should be looking at? My coach talked about pro hurricane tour 1.30 because I break strings within the 5 hours mark. Maybe polyplasma 1.28 is still better? Thx for the input
Thanks Andy:) anyway what other hybrids are there that would provide more spin and power and medium control? About the signum pro hybrid what tension should I string? Thanks:)
@ Yifan Lu, The Babolat RPM Blast/XCel hybrid is a great one that offers excellent spin. Try stringing the polyester string in your hybrid at 54 lbs and the softer string at 56 lbs. Andy, TW
@Tennis Warehouse, I strung up my ProStaff 97 with the poly plasma at 55 lbs and it played very dead compared to a Kirshbaum Pro line II (both 16 guage). Is 55 too high for a 97 Sq inch racquet?
@sparkelius, The Signum Pro Poly Plasma can play a bit on the firm side, and Pro Line II definitely feels a bit softer, in comparison. I would say that by going down to about 2-3 pounds, it should play a bit more to your liking, although the Pro Line II may just be the better string for you. I found the Signum Pro Hyperion to play softer, and more similar to Pro Line II, but then again it is not as cheap as Poly Plasma. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse I am revisiting this post after trying 4 sets of Poly Pro Plasma, surprisingly a lower tension range didn't yield the feel, but a little pre-stretching helps - so went ahead and strung it at 57 and a day of two later felt much better in comparison.
