I make my own disc planner. I get most of my supplies from Levenger. My inserts are either self-designed or stuff I find on Etsy. I started with the letter size but have found I’m more comfortable in the Levenger junior, which is a half sheet size.
I'm in half letter Levenger discbound too right now. I'm loving it but also wish I could do a pocket or even personal size but I got used to the space and I sit here and wonder... hmm.. do I really need all this crazy space? lol
@@LesaKenner I’m doing a lot of trauma therapy since December. So for me moving down to the Junior was a step in climbing Mt Everest. But the extra space that I thought i wouldn’t need to great for jotting down random thoughts, helping to identify emotions at-the-moment, and other stuff. Currently I’m working in about 3 disc bound notebooks. 2 letter and my everyday planner in a junior.
I have been using disc for about 5 years, HP Classic, then HP mini. I am planning to downsize to personal rings. I noticed that you slit the pages, which will definitely help with the adjustment. 😊
I am always obsessed about the little planners! 😬My favorite is pocket TN, and pocket rings. I go back and forth. I have been in a TN for more than six months now, and I kinda have the itch to switch. lol We will see. I do like the inserts you use. I usually avoid the inserts that have a lot of designated areas already planned for you in boxes and things. However, watching this video makes me think I should try that type of insert and see if I like it or not. I also use my pocket, whether it is rings or a TN as my EDC and don't really decorate much, except for little things. I am obsessed with it though. haha. I use other planners like the Hobonichi Cousin this year to plan out my week and to do lists. Oh, and decorate. I find it relaxing and fun to be creative with my stickers. I hope you enjoy your pocket rings again! I am happy, as that is my favorite. I look forward to more videos. Take care Sam!
This is so adorable! I'm pretty sure I could make this size work. But... I'm in the Sterling Ink Common Planner and I don't like wasting the paper, so I'm going to stay in it because it's dated. For next year, I got the undated and I'll feel more comfortable switching up planners as I feel like it per month or quarter. 😊
@@samplans Oh, I really do enjoy it, but my ADHD brain also craves change constantly. But, I've been learning to challenge myself and ignore the lines. It's been fun!
I’ve been using a pocket planner since late January and it has changed my life! Was never a rings girl but I love the size and convenience. You can customize so much of it. Also the 2023 page is from AlibiDesignStudio pretty sure. Thanks for sharing a great video with awesome recs!!! 🎉❤
Hi There!! I relate to your struggles. I could go on and on with mine since the early 90's, but I will save you that. If you like Filofax, I would look at the compact size, as they have the Holborn Leather, a new Malden zip, and some non leather options. They have all the benefits of the personal size paper and inserts, but with smaller rings and the cover are mostly no frills, which in your last video you said you liked.
This is an inspiring pocket setup. I also would like to use Peanuts Planner Co A6 inserts reduced to pocket plus size but haven't been able to print the reverse page and have them line up back to back. How did you accomplish this, please?
Love your set up. I have been in my VDS Junior using pp+ now since beginning of March and I love it. I use alot f puffinpagesco inserts. Am loving the size, it’s cute and compact and such a lightweight after using a brick for years ❤
Hello! I don't think I have ever commented but I have been watching you for a while. My struggles are similar to yours. I have ADHD and get bored with one system but it causes a lot of anxiety, disorganization, chaos and more work to keep switching planners. I find that I create many different areas (notebooks, planners, sticky notes, etc) to try to keep up but then it's not all organized. I am using multiple systems right now to narrow it down to which 1 or 2 that I want to keep. I think I have narrowed it down in my mind but feel guilty with all the money I have spent so I want to use up what I have. I am also decluttering and trying to minimize in my life. I do know for sure that I don't want a spiral planner again as it is not customizable, and I need to customize. I'm only going to use a spiral notebook for sloppy, rough draft notes, etc. I separated by budget except the expense tracker so far. I will be using one bullet journal style book for "memory highlights" which I will get from my planner pages and will later toss the planner pages. I am also keeping references and lists in a bound lined book that can go on and on and be moved from each cover until it's done. Bottom line I need to be able to customize so it's either a ring bound or disc planner for my catch all.
Sam you are so good at setting up rings, wish you could set mine up 😊 I suck at using an inbox, I set it up and sometimes fill it then do nothing with the items. Do you keep your ring inserts when done with them? Love seeing all your updates.👏
Thank you. 🧡 Sometimes I keep them and sometimes not. It depends if I have a memory planner going for that year. If I don’t, I usually keep the weeklies.
Idk why it just dawned on me. You struggle between personal and pocket. Have you ever tried a6? I’m just wondering if that would be the perfect sweet spot. I know most rings planners are huge when it comes to the a6 binders and that’s what turned me away from carrying that size, but you can get a slimmer version through VDS if you find that it really works great.
@@samplans I can see that being an issue. If you want me to customize any for you. (Any size) message me. I’d be happy to do it. I have to add all the files I made in the past to my yt channel description. I know you prefer Sunday start. I’m still using my bound book for planning. It’s a way I can brain dump everything going on in my life right now. My poor personal rings is still set up from January and nothing has been used. 😞
You sound like your old self Sam. Content and inspired and happy. Glad you’ve found your grove with a system that works for you. ❤
Thanks!
This was such a good video. I found it so calming to watch you set it up. I can’t wait to see how you use it. ❤
Thank you so much!

Discbound is so versatile. I love that ring inserts work in discs too. Simple & Trendy Co is one of my favorite insert shops

Yes! Slitting pages is the best. You may miss the width of the mini though, I think it’s just a tad wider than personal if memory serves me right.

Thanks for sharing! You have given me good ideas 🙂 Planner set ups and flip thrus are my favorite! Always enjoy your videos!! ♥️

I like how cute and compact it is and I do like rings. I may go back to them some day but going to stick with a 7 ×9 on a coil for now I believe.
Do what works!
Looooove Traitors. The UK one is just general public. It's so good. You'll love Claudia and her fringe.
That’s how the Australian one is too!

Always use adobe acrobat reader, and know if you are printing long edge or short edge.
Thank you.

I did about 2 years ago. Love the size, but get frustrated with the lack of options for the size. 🙁

so you are o
ot using the 30 day one now? I am glad you found your rings again.
I’m using it like a memory planner.
Try to write twice smaller (with a fine pen) , then you could have twice more information on these pages
That’s true, but I just don’t find it comfortable to write that small.
