- Tomis Eb1 Is Inhale sorry
Thank you to Ntanzar for sharing some of the Ken Turner and JD kaps clips!
The reason singers such as Tim foust and Avi Kaplan aren’t in this compilation is because they don’t use the subharmonic technique

The thing that impresses me most about Voiceplay is how cool they all are with Geoff just exploring the depths of the human hearing range. If I was in a room with a bloke singing F1's and shit I would stop everything I was doing and be like SORCERY!
THIS IS HOW I FEEL! Geoff’s ranges when singing never ceases to amaze me
meh when he does those low notes its so quiet that you wouldn't hear with out extreme amplification on the mic.
When he did the halo theme and hit B0 I just kinda imagined him pitching it to the team “you know how this song has an E1? Well I’m gonna do a B0 which idek if I can do” it
Thank you so much for including me again! It's always an honor to be included in your videos among these talented singers. And congrats on over 3K Subs! Well deserved! 🙏🏼❤️
What was that A0 bruh 🤯🤯🤯🤯❤️❤️❤️❤️
If you have a somewhat normal speaking pitch then you have many many octaves to work with dude
@@Coquette33700 he don't,he speaks really low sometimes down to A1 but he usually speak at the bottom of the 2 octave
Yo Efe Your C1 in the part 1 video was faker than Kim Kardashians tits and so is this one. Stop pretending like you aren't editing your videos
helal olsun sana efe, allaha emanet ol dostum
1:30 Honestly, what impresses me the most is the fact that Tomi can hit an A1 and what sounds like a whistle note at the same time. His range is INSANE
it's a flageolet D6 which is stil limpressive as hell
The subharmonic KINGS -- great video my dude
You means: Geoff
@@deanmarion5477 he is not
@@freddiestudio7668: 🥶
It's really funny to hear how everyone's subharmonics are different. There's people who got fat sound like efe sayin or Bobby watres, some have a lot of resonance like Dan mirabal and other have good skills like Ken Turner (or Dan mirabal too)
Yes! I guess it carry’s the “properties” that you give to the fundamental. So if you sang a G2 chest with very operatic placement then it would carry to the G1
@@Marcell0Bass exactly! But what shook me a lot (except that A0 from efe) is the facility of Ken Turner to do a D1, mind blown 🤯🤣
Amazing video as always, Marcello .. thanks for including me again! 🙏🏼❤️
Basically Ken Turner is the og subharmonic bass
What about Geoff? ua-cam.com/video/gvPFA9ANeeU/v-deo.html
He's great too , but Ken has done it since he had brown hair (now he has white hair)
@@blank3198: 😌
@@deanmarion5477 ken is better
@@someguywithhair6439: 👌
Tomis high notes are👀👀🔥🔥😈😈
That A0 was very shocking!
Geoff doing overtones AND an F#1 is probably one of if not the most impressive thing on this Video fs
That D1 from Bobby Waters was a wonderful experience.
Absolutely love that these gentlemen utilize their voice in context with music. Not just low notes....low notes with music. Golden.
Thank you so so much for including me at 0:19 and at 1:55 ❤️🙏🏻
Another awesome subharmonic compilation. I love subs!
yo dude. can you check 2 videos in my channel. did i really hit G#0 or its fake ?
How did i not notice i was in this video? I've watched it before. Thanks for the small feature in another one of your great videos Marcello! It really means alot 😣😣
Would love to hear a growl compilation next!
I could give it a go but I don’t know too many singers that use growl (apart from the obvious Tim,Geoff,Avi, Tomi P)
@@Marcell0Bass That’s true, there’s not a ton of singers use the technique! What about David Larson, Clap it up Dan? I use quite a bit of growl in some of my A Cappella covers as well 🎶
@@Marcell0Bass I used growl in a couple of videos, Jules Cruz used it a couple of times before, even Austin Brown and Peter Hollens have recorded Growl notes. I think a growl compilation would definitely be worth a shot. You can also ask BadamB B. He knows quite a few singers who use growl.
@@Marcell0Bass John Entwistle used growl in Boris the Spider.
@@Marcell0Bass Every death metal vocalist. xD
Geoff's subharmonics are otherworldly in their purity.
Being classified as a tenor and wanting a deep ass voice like this hurts...Like yeah I can hit some cool notes but not shake the entire damn room with a subharmonic.
i used to be able to hit these notes but my vocal range got higher, now im only able to hit A2s
Always great to see new stuff up, great video Marcello
Amazing video as always Marcello!!
I love your music!
OMG YAY A PART 2!!!!! I’ve been waiting so long for this!!
Btw Tomi Pizur is using a technique around 9:50 in this song called a inhale bass. It’s not truely subharmonic but still very impressive. He uses inhale bass for a lot of his low notes
I know about it. I thought it was subharmonics then I asked him and he said it’s inhale look at the description
I was waiting for a second video, and I'm like more shocked that the last video 🤣🤣❤️❤️🤯🤯 loved it 👍❤️👍❤️
Daaaamn Dan is absolutely hammering those E1's at 8:00
Facts his subs were leathal 💀🔥
Amazing video bro!!!
Absolutely nice video! I thought you will including Ken's C1 from song ''Peace like a river''.
Yeah I decided on the one from “have a little talk with Jesus”instead
@@Marcell0Bass nice
great part 2
I know it may sound weird to most but a deep voice of a man is a definite turn on to most women.
Loved it :DDDD
I consider Dan Mirabal to be one of the most proficient in subhamronics. No one comes close to his dynamics and flow, at least not that I've seen.
Are you Quinn from Tiktok?
@@Marcell0Bass yeah...
@@quinnrafferty4635 oh cool! Nice to see you here. You’re on my most recent video on this channel btw 😉
@@Marcell0Bass That's awesome! I'm honored!
i love these. i aspire to be as good as these singers. im 14 with a good G#1 subharmonic
Keep going bro, I'm 18 with a D#1 but I think that at my 14 I would never Reach a G#1
Maybe with a good morning voice haha
Keep it up man! I'm 15 with a good F1 and I think the only reason is because I have a throat condition keep at it for sure
i’m 18 and only have been doing it for a few months now but i have an f1. take your time and let your voice mature, you got this!
Keep working and good luck on the quest to A0. I'm pretty comfortable down to E1 and with some warmup or just a good day I can get to C1. Also there's no way I coulda done that at 14. My voice dropped low when I was almost 16
10:38 Ken Turner being a human
I am realizing that eco really benefits and adds a punch to the subharmonic sound, just listen to the G#1 from David and that F#1 from the other compilation
These men are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! They were RIGHT ON PITCH with all of these low notes that they were singing. I can sing C3 in my range for a lady since I'm pretty much considered a FEMALE TENOR or a CONTRALTO!! The note that REALLY impressed me was the young man who sang A0 at the end. He was RIGHT ON PITCH!! These guys REALLY inspire me!! Please keep posting these videos!! They are absolutely AWESOME!!
2:50 bro this acapella sounds so good i need a full video link for this
Dan rocks singing in portuguese.
He's really good
Could you do a baritone battle?
Country roads outro. Love that song.
So low notes C2-A0 subharmonic notes.😲 A0 was the lowest subharmonic note i ever heard.😲 This is a good video.😊 You are best.❤
I think to be able to do that is so damn amazing. The possibilities...
Thanks - nice compilation. So Tim Foust’s A0 in Sold - is that one a growl and so doesn’t get listed here?
First of all the A0 you are referring to is an A1 confirmed by Tim himself. And second yes only subharmonic notes are included no other register/technique
@@Marcell0Bass thank you for your due diligence! Other UA-cam links out there are posting that as an A0 layered with the A1 that I agree with you that I’m hearing, but they didn’t think to check with the man ;)
Oh cool there’s more
Definitely more
There’s always more
Can't stop watching these videos, how someday I'll be in one of these videos hahaha
so many new faces since the first video!!!
As a light lyrical tenor my throat even bothers seeing such low notes! 😵
Where did you get efe’s A0?
He sent it to me especially
1:39 i know this is a subharmonic vídeo, but can we talk about that high note from tomi
Finally early
Can you do a growl one next pls?
I'm a simple man. I see Bobby, I click
Super
6:38 wow
Where Tomi P's B0 in the bass cover for Fishin in the dark/boondocks??
thats inhale. he used to think it was subharmonics himself but yeah
10:25 link :)
Ps: amazing video Bro :D
Thanks man and sorry for the long wait: ua-cam.com/video/k1AuWjjgyGY/v-deo.html
What was the song in the intro I have no clue and I would love to listen to it or the song at 5:20. Thanks!
Where’s John - clap it up dan
A doubt, the second subharmonic is used in lower or higher tones?
Which is better this version or old version?
At first I didn’t think Ken Turner used subs. But listening to a ton of clips it’s kind of obvious in retrospect
Geoff really does slap
Saben cómo se llama la canción que canta JoshBass G? Es que la estoy buscando y no me aparece :'3
7:35 ryan thang got a pretty dark timbre
How can I tell the difference between actual subharmonic and just going lower with chest voice (to chest fry i believe)? To me a lot of them sounded like the second but the title sugests that all of them are subharmonics.
Bass singer here trying to learn everything
I’ll tell you straight up. You just have to listen to them a lot to be able to tell the difference. Just train your ear to the timbres
4:37 Does anyone know the quartet's name the he sings in?
Would one be able to learn to sing this way with no mic and fill the hall like a true bass?
6:45 is probably the most resonant I’ve ever heard someone do subharmonics off mic. I’m sure it is possible but for the most part no it cannot be projected that much.
@@Marcell0Bass But he has a lovely resonant hallway, in packed concert it wouldn't carry, would it?
I guess with popular music, using mic it's perfectly fine, the main issue I have with the technique is the sound is rather farty when I attempt it, it might need some modification of sound when performing/recording.
If we met on facebook I can send you a recording of my attempt for feedbackif you'd like that.
@@matthewclarke5008 sorry I don’t have Facebook
I found myself a real strange kink... like... damn
What's the difference between subharmonic register and mongolian throat chant (I guess it's called 'tuva' or something like that)?
To me it all sounds like a melodic false chord. Am I wrong?
I think it’s in the range of sound. I am no expert but I believe under C2 it’s subharmonic
I realize im extremely late, but subharmonics don't actually use the false chords at all
1:55 dafuq was that LOL
Link for 1:07?
what is the name of dan mirabal's song in the 3:13 minute? please
Carol of the bells
Where can I find the video for 10:51
The summit, Peter barber
I could be wrong I am certainly no expert on sound and music or even just bass singing but I am pretty sure several of those "subharmonics were actually fry
They’re all subharmonics
at 2:50 i can not find the video for it help
ua-cam.com/video/LOm4rkwAvCU/v-deo.html
It might be helpful to non-musical people and indicate the MUSICAL notations and what they mean.
Who is the first one?
When I have strep throat I feel like I can hit most of those notes.
Ken Turner the best on this video😎
How the quartet that JD Kaps sang?
The Texans
Song at 1: 16
Source for 2:50?
ua-cam.com/video/LOm4rkwAvCU/v-deo.html
I’m shocked Tim Foust isn’t on here
He uses the growl/fire breathing technique, not subharmonics.
1:54 ????
2:50 what song is this?
House of the rising sun by shot C
The c2 from Julius was chest
I don't know how Dan's subs sound so chesty but it's amazing
Dans subharmonics sound like chest god damn
Source for 4:37
Now, imagine your stomach is growling. Your welcome
Song name minute 4:55?
The song immediately after is heathens by tøp I think I'm late but maybe someone else needs it
That’s cool… but how? 😂
No features for me? I got stuff
Maybe next time
@@Marcell0Bass check my personal yt page. And UA-cam/Facebook my acapella group "Reflexion Vocal Band" your support would really mean alot!
Where is this 3:28 from
Hey little song bird - Bobby bass on UA-cam
@@Marcell0Bass thank you 😁
I would like to see them sing something other than religious stuff
whats the first song sexy people? please help me out for funk musics sake
I’ve gotten down to a Bb1 one morning.
where's Tim Foust?
Тут не все басы, много теноров которые используют субгармонику))
These very low notes sounded like they were sung with vocal fry only.
Do you guys hear the same?
Не услышал ни одной ноты, взятой чистым голосом! Один штробасс?(
First dude needs to shave, lol
Music for elephants
Bro Efe is just nit human at all
