If u wanna disable write protect. On the mother board they'll be a screw with WP next to it. If ur Chromebook doesn't have it then detach the battery but keep it in place. Put the cover back on then plug in ac adapter/charger, boot ur laptop and continue shopping this video. Then once u installed the firmware and on it reatatch the battery

Bro I installed seabios on acer chromebook using Johnlewis rom. But it doesn't ever want to boot from usb drive. When I press the esc key to show booting list the usb drive appears but when I press the number of the usb it says booting from hard drive and just hangs there. Danish Saleem make sure you select windows boot manager in the boot menu, if that doesn’t work then you did something wrong, ask r/chrultrabook for more info

@@Nightmareplayspopgoes123 I still need a bit more info, you see, some chromebooks have different types of protection, press esc+refresh+power on your chromebook and just read out the first word, it can be any word, it can be anything like astronaut or butterfly or relm.
