Miles faster and probably better in every way (except maybe the ride) BUT I’ve always just preferred a sports car to a hot hatch, they just feel more special and tend to look better. Think it’s just a personal choice at that stage, both great cars 👍
@@midlifemotors5050 We ordered and now have the JCW Auto with premium plus pack and 18 inch wheels, we got it new in May and it's been a joy. Smooth ride in Green/Mid mode. Sport mode opens throttle, exhaust and ride firms up, feels proper hot hatch. We have had to Polo Gti with DSG and both had issues with gearbox. Manual gearbox is peace of mind for reliability on the VW.

Was the idea. But I’m not convinced now tbh. I’d rather throw a few quid at the polo-remap, lowering springs-tbh. The polo does grow on you. But ultimately it’s not my car, so won’t be my choice 🙁

Definitely the auto but put it in manual mode and use the paddle shift it’s an awesome drive .

Drive the auto in sport mode to make it a fair comparison, not mid mode auto and sport mode manual
Think it just boils down to personal preference. Great car no matter the transmission. Only negative we came up with was the ride, it is quite harsh
