    Very helpful, but I don't understand why you don't actually start the washer and run it and spray it so that total klutzes have seen it in action. Anyway, this is a great starting point.

      After I made and uploaded the video I was actually thinking the same thing. I definitely should have shown the starting sequence in action.

    The wand is suppose to reduce pressure when the trigger is released. Mine does not same pressure with or without the trigger depressed. Makes it hard to relocate washer without turning off Simpson advertised this feature on this wand. What am I doing wrong? 3:10

      So the wand is always on at full pressure? I believe there is a lock near the trigger on the handle. It may be locked or stuck in the lock setting.

    How do I disconnect the wand hose? Right tight or the opposite?

    Thanks for the video. I'm obsessing over what pressure washer to buy to replace my old one that died after 19 years. Foolishly I didn't note what brand it was, but the one you were working on was almost an exact copy at least the oil dipstick, gas cap, on / off and choke. Based on all this, I assume it was a Simpson. It seems that many pressure washers don't have a soap tank which seems like a useful thing to have. I used the old one to clean the patio and sidewalk. I was thinking of one in the 3,000 to 3,200 PSI range. I read that the Triplex pumps are what the better pumps are equipped with. Any thoughts / recommendations for me as a several times a year user. Might try it on the car, wheel wells, etc. Thanks in advance.

      I honestly really like this Simpson. I did a pump change on one that was left out over the winter and cracked and it was easy to replace. I would think it also has enough power to do the things you mentioned. Glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching, have a great night!

    We have this same pressure washer, can the psi be adjusted on this model? If so how would you do it.

    • @fixanythingsavemoney
      @fixanythingsavemoney  3 місяці тому

      Really the only way to control the psi is through the different nozzles that come with it. I definitely recommend starting with the higher degree on whatever you're cleaning and start washing somewhere discretely to see how it's working. Hopefully this answered your question! Thanks for watching and for the comment, have a great day!

    Hey i just purchased this pressure washer, is the motor the only part oil needs to be added?

    • @fixanythingsavemoney

      Thanks for reaching out. Yes the motor is the only part that requires you to add oil. Thanks for watching and for the comment! Have a great holiday!

    My understanding is that the Simpson takes 20oz, but there’s already 4 in there when you get it. So when you put the 16oz that comes with it in, it makes 20oz. At least that’s what I’ve been told

      I wasn't aware of this but it definitely makes sense. I feel like I've looked at the specs in the instructions and it didn't tell but I can't remember now. I'll have to take a look when I get a minute! Thanks for the info and for watching! Have a great weekend!

    How do u add oil to just the water pump

    • @fixanythingsavemoney
      @fixanythingsavemoney  2 місяці тому

      You don't need to add oil to it. It has a maintenance free crankcase that doesn't require oil changes. I have another video up on my channel on how to swap out the pump. If that's the repair you're performing be sure to subscribe and check it out! Thanks for watching, have a great night!
