The trails were never 'abandoned' , but they were shut down in the summer of 2021 for maintenance and restructuring a lot of trails. It's actually fully open aside from the dual slalom at the top, and has been under works for a while due to people bringing motorbikes and ripping up the jumps they had spent so long sculpting. It's also been funded by a few different places as well just that it's taken quite a while to get sorted. Really nice when they have events and get people down and blast music - generally really fun!

I went up there just before cv19 and it wasn't like that, its either been done over the locked down and between then and now, but when I went up there it was small section back then and that was like 2019
Hi pal love your videos I’ve recently bought a engwe engine x and I’ve been running on the first setting with 5 power levels but I’ve swapped it to the second setting with 7 power settings it seems to give it more speed give it a try and see what you think cheers keep up the good work 👍
I have exactly the same bike 👌👌Any idea how I can get insurance on this bike because I`m totally at a loose end. I have tried every insurer on the internet and their survey always stats Uh uh !!!!!!!!!!!
@@baconbuttties Mainly because the bike is not technically legal as its top speed is over the government limit of 15.5 mph and over 250watt hence boarding on motorbike status etc etc

just did a google search Caerphilly hey.. wicked to think i can cycle to Caerphilly over that Mountain.. my Dads Sister and my Cousons lived there awsome place..
I drive on Van road all the time and never knew it was there. It’s the same as the Mountain ranch that’s not far from it, only slow EU regulation ebikes and no throttles so I won’t be allowed to ride on it. Also the car park next to this seems to be a dogging spot.
where in Wales is this, their is nothing like this in Cardiff the Welsh Government are show shit in producing anything as good as this.. Valleys somewhere i expect

I did look on the Van Trails Facebook page and it's says it's opening up in April.

Yeah you can't see it from the road and it can't be that well known as there never seems to be any one there.

I will say i am i rider of vanroad trails caerphilly they where never abandoned the wood is there because of dird bikes and pit bikes
Yes it was. It was closed to the public for quite some time and had a sign up, and all the trails except one are in need of repair.
@@baconbuttties they're not in need of repair, they are dirt jumps for mountain bikes and are meant to be like that
