To me it just tastes like salt with an added sharp taste to it which is hard to describe, certainly doesn't taste anything like the smell of a bottle of ammonia and not anywhere near as strong but I suppose it's in the same neighborhood.

5:00 - Pretty sure those are just salted liquorice sticks. They taste like the Devil, but many Swedes like that, apparently.
5:46 - Lingon (or lingonberry) is a berry native to Sweden that is sweet and acidic. Goes well with a lot of foods. Love the stuff.
6:32 - That's actually a European perch (abborre in Swedish), a common fish in Sweden. I've fished a few of those before. The surströmming he's referring to is actually a fermented herring, a silvery fish.
7:31 - That lingonberry tea. Pretty sure of that.
7:54 - Those are bilberry and cream biscuits. Bilberries are related to blueberries but they are a bit different from each other.
8:27 - Those look to be raspberry and cream biscuits.
9:16 - Trocadero is an apple and orange flavoured soda that is very tasty. According to Wikipedia it's sometimes called the "national beverage of Norrland", and I believe it, because it's amazing. Also "apelsin" means orange (the fruit). The Swedish word for apple is "äpple".
10:50 - Those are little cars ("bilar" means cars) and come in three flavours. I suppose they count as being marshmallows.
11:25 - The Delicato Punschrulle is a marzipan pastry with dark chocolate.
13:15 - Dill and chives chips (or crisps).
13:43 - That's cloudberry marmalade. That's some luxury stuff, since cloudberries can be pretty pricey. Cloudberries are native to Sweden and don't really grow too well domestically.
14:14 - Gifflar are cinnamon rolls baked on their side so they're flat. Very tasty, and hard to stop eating. Come in a variety of flavours.
15:20 - Kalle's Original is a Swedish "smörgåskaviar" (caviar, but apparently you're not allowed to call it that because it's cod roe instead of sturgeon roe, or something?). It's commonly had on sandwiches or eggs.
19:05 - Those are sausages made with reindeer meat (or venison).
21:22 - This is also salted liquorice, shaped like little monkeys.
28:06 - That's orange juice. As mentioned before "apelsin" means orange (the fruit), which he figures out now that he tasted it. :P

You either grow up with it because it's in local candies, or if you didn't grow up with it, it's nearly inedible.

I didn't grow up with it. A long time ago a now ex-GF and her siblings got a pile of it from their dad who was there on business because he didn't know. I took it all and couldn't get enough. The ones I got were also heavily laced with menthol so it was like licorice, salt and mint all competing to fuck my mouth. I wish I could find it again.

To me it just tastes like salt with an added sharp taste to it which is hard to describe, certainly doesn't taste anything like the smell of a bottle of ammonia and not anywhere near as strong but I suppose it's in the same neighborhood.
