Hey guys! Great video, wonderful models, big fan of both armies, though I okay army of lake town instead. Couple minor rules corrections I picked up: 1. War drum is declared after heroics, not that it mattered here, but is the correct order 2. If a model has done a jump, leap or climb test, they are unable to shoot. Acolyte jumped a wall and then threw a dagger. 3. 22:40 after thorin had declared a combat, he killed the models and then a model spear supported twice in a turn. You can only spear/pike support once per turn
Thanks very much mate! Much more to come soon 😊 Pretty sure both drums and heroics happen at the start of the phase, and that it doesn't say anywhere specifically that drums are after? Bang on for points two and three though - both issues of mine, which I'll blame on using a lot of my brain capacity at the time on the filming 😁🤣
Really good video, much less of the term “totally” being thrown around, only counted about 20-30 in this vid! Jokes aside it’s cool to see some more competitive tournament lists being used, hope to see more of the same x
Camera issues apart, good battle report. Explaining use of Might obviously has a downside in terms of alerting your opponent to your concerns, but as Might is so key to this game, think it could deepen viewer understanding of decision making aspects. Well done both.
36:08 you got 1 on Bards dice and You feinting so You can reroll this dice. It's not big chance but You could roll 6 and kill Rutabi im this Fight. ;) Also, great fight. Thanks for Your job.
The Rutabi/Thorin/Bard combat; you were pretty strict re: the back away and thus trapped. Interesting. I tend to be more lenient but then I'm not a very competitive player!
@@GollumGamers Cavalry/Monstrous mount charges and being pinned in place obviously crystal clear. It's when a model can almost backaway but is a small number of mm short which I feel is harsh to say they're trapped because of the double strkes. But you're quite right re: playing rules as written.
In a tournament though if a model is trapped by a few mm, then that model is still trapped you know - that's why being precise in your movement etc is so important as it's a big part of the game!@@michaelhaskell2155
@@michaelhaskell2155isn't it the exact same siuation as if your opponent is a few mm out of charge range? In that case, your opponent positioned well and should not be punished by allowing an illegal charge. The same logic applies to traps. What's "harsh" is depriving someone of an advantage that they have a right to.
@@doubleoblit You're right - rules as written and all that. The "within charge range" comparison is a case in point. I probably do need to re-adjust my thinking on this but I think I'll always struggle to equate being knocked down/pinned in place with being a mm or so short of being able to fully back away. I'm fine with my opponent doing this to me - rules as written and they're totally within their rights to do so - I'm just a bit more easy going in enforcing it against my opponent when they have lost a combat!!!

@@GollumGamers they do, but heroics call out they happen before any special rules are resolved, pg 70 para 2 in the new rule book 😁
Well I'd argue that a drum isn't a special rule! 😉😂@@rileyallen310

Yep I understand that - we’re all very frequent tournament players so our regular way of playing SBG is to play very by the book etc!

I can't believe what I'm saying but it's time to root for Lake Town 😂
