Hey guys, apologies that this one wasn't as fun or entertaining as our usual stuff! We never meant to release this one as it was a bit of a stomp due to how the roll-offs went (it was originally filmed back in March) but we ran out of Batreps to publish and didn't want to go a week without a video. We do generally like to make our videos well balanced and fun to watch and we may have slightly missed the mark here but hopefully people find it worth a watch nonetheless. Back to our regularly scheduled chaos next week
Man imagine having this much integrity to apologize for releasing content. Couldn't be us. Honestly still just fun to have some content up lads, don't worry about it. -Liam
Well, stomping and getting stomped on are parts of the game. Jordan does a great job of the most important part of that experience: Being cool about it and having fun nonetheless. Thanks for your integrity. I appreciate it.
@@rhodharshak we try our best! Jordan is an exceptional human being who takes everything in his stride and is gracious in victory and defeat :) ~Stephen
Unlike all the normies in this comment section, I couldn't care less about "muh balinse" and have enjoyed this Rivendell VS Moria batrep immensely. Nothing beats the First Age vibe of an army of elite Noldor/Núnatani battling (and overcoming) hordes of Orcs supported by all sorts of monstrous abominations of Melkor's discordance! P.S. That's a very nicely painted arctic/snow theme and colour scheme for those Moria gobbos (those Misty Mountains sure are snowy! Also Angmar feelz)
Funnily enough I actually think Jordan's army (specifically the watcher) is very good against elite armies with big heroes! As soon as the Watcher gets to pull either Elrond or Gils in, she makes her points back so I constantly having to position 370 points worth of heroes away from the centre. It's Cirdan which causes trouble... Glad you enjoyed it! The board was specifically picked to match the gobbos :) ~Stephen
Fun video, I love seeing the watcher. I actually think Contest is a good scenario for it... just unlucky the first few turns didn't go your way. Sidenote: is this Jordan O'Brien by any chance? If so, great chatting with you about the watcher and seeing you use it first hand! -Richard
I agree! It's a 50/50 on (almost) instantly winning the game if you play it right and win the heroic move off (with bats and other shenanigans). This is indeed him, big fan of the watcher and all-round lush bloke ~Stephen
Microwave for 30seconds on medium power (high power if a 900W microwave). Then sprinkle the dessicated tears of your enemies on the dice at midnight during a blood moon whilst reciting "The Fall Of Gil-Galad" and sacrifice 12 goblins each hour. Bake at 180° for 23 minutes, until a knife will come out clean. Then let them rest for 3 years in vinegar ~Stephen
To have made filming easier you could have just moved that big tall rock piece of terrain out the way since it wasn’t playing any role in the game. You were having to jump around it a lot!
It's quite hard to take Riv Knights when you've spent points on two elven lords and Cirdan. You really need to maximize your numbers. But I would agree that one or two would be great, less so for the lances snd more for some mobility in scenarios.
As doubleoblit says below the list is already devastatingly low on numbers! The knights are indeed very tasty and I do like to chuck 1-2 in most lists. ~Stephen
Yeah elves... yuck. If you wanna play gilly, take him next to numenor Edit: I've seen a lot of rivendell batreps that are snowball-y. Kinda makes me zone out halfway thru
Elves are (statistically) not actually that good - they very rarely win tourneys at the moment and are overshadowed by high model count armies/magic lists in the UK meta... I do completely understand anyone who doesn't enjoy playing against them though, if the elf player is rolling well it can feel a bit futile! ~Stephen

Moria? A man of taste.
Another Mr tickle fan in the watcher I see? Jordan's army is lovely!

Just getting into the game and loving these vids. Keep them coming ;)

I came here for the Rivendell gameplay on a winter map but Jordan (orange sweater guy) is giving like young George Harrison vibes and it kinda rocks
nice to see the tray back in action
Comes out on special occasions x
~Elliot
I like these battlereports nonetheless, where are those spider models from?
Surprised Elrond didnt just cast wrath of bruinen when he charged into the line of goblins... Poor moria
Saving the will to counter a transfix from the shaman!
~Stephen
Love it
Moria is beautifully painted but the Watcher is just *chef's kiss*
She just wants to pull your heroes in and... hug them
~Stephen
Rivendell dice are just too OP - needs an FAQ I reckon
The dice or Stephen, one of them needs nerfing
~Elliot
FAQ: Rivendell dice only useable if you have more than 50% of your models from the rivendell faction?
~Stephen
@@anyheroics As someone who only uses faction dice when using that particular faction - I approve this message

Very good point craig, didn't even cross our minds tbh

why do you say everyone is sick of seeing this shit? this it my first time seeing your channel. :)
Why do you never use Riv Cavalry? The lances are so good.

It's a r*pe but it's always cool to show the Watcher. Thanks for this batrep !
Glad you enjoyed! The watcher is truly like no other model

Never fun playing against elves😂😂
Thankfully playing against Stephen is!! (Mostly) ;)
~Elliot
Ooof, I just feel bad for the Moria player, ouch. Nightmare match-up, nightmare scenario, just pure ugly unfortunately.
Really was grim wasn't it, but Jordan's pain is your entertainment
