    I take it this is his warm up lap, they say its the closest think you can buy to a moto GP bike for the road, he was about 50 seconds a lap off the pace.

      +Gary Lowe that's what I was thinking. Maybe the rider didn't know the track very well.

      hxrly I didn't realize the Americans are only getting a 90bhp version rather than the 150ish we get in Europe. That is a but disappointing for them. I wonder if they knew of this when ordering.

      +Gary Lowe im fairly certain the only difference between any versions US, EU , JP whatever is the s engine mapping. im sure after spending that money honda will send you the tune and software (for track use only)

      He's totally rolling up to the corners and no corner speed. Pretty lamo on a GP replica

    can someone explain why this bike is 184k

      +Swiggs Designing a bike is not cheap at all, specially if you're talking about a bike with a performance similar to that of MotoGP ones. Now, if you're selling thousands of bikes, spreading the design cost across those bikes will result in lower selling prices. Since Honda will only produce a handful of RC213V-S's, they had to make them more expensive in order to cover the designing/production costs. And, of course, these bikes have a far superior technology compared to any other superbike currently on the market.

      +Swiggs HRC leases the exact machine to private MotoGP teams for $1M a season. For $184K you are getting a true MotoGP bike for 1/4 the price.

      Wot48 It's not the same machine. I'm sure the RC213V-S doesn't have a pneumatic valve system, as well as seamless transmission. But anyway, there's a lot of technology that comes directly from MotoGP, like chassis design, swingarm design, electronics, etc. So, yeah, the RC213V-S is really worth those $184K.

      +Maxi Díaz Its the RCV1000R hayden was racing.

      cagednm69 Now, that sounds more plausible. Honda's current Open bike (RC213V-RS) is much more advanced than last year's RCV1000R. But still, the RC213V-S is more than what any of the buyers can handle. I would love to have a chance to ride such an amazing bike.

    Acording to the animation on the up left corner, this bike goes forward by braking

    • @maximus9401
      @maximus9401 8 років тому

      +Juan Camilo Hidalgo it's very inaccurate. It's only really showing braking, and barely any throttle application

    still would not dump 200k on a bike just so I can be "like" MotoGP racers.

    Why oh why did Honda do a bike launch at this go-kart circuit? Such a shame :/
