I just bought that book. I really like it. The original book is so great. At first I had a hard time reading it but then I was pulled into its beauty. I was lucky that Amazon packed it like it was a fragile baby. I'm assuming it must have been done by a graphic novel fan.
Beautiful adaptation of a haunting tale; to attempt to do the book justice Larcenet spoke to McCarthey and got his blessing. It reminds me of a rated ‘18’ version of another artist (who illustrated a post-apocalyptical story also) called Mick McMahon, who famously adapted much of 2000ad’s sublime Cursed Earth saga, the protagonists also crossing a desolate radioactive wasteland encountering a myriad of hostile characters. Both artists have a scratchy, heavily worked and textured style, however never straying away from telling the story. Recommend both!
truly so bleak and feels evil at times how the world turned into in THE ROAD but having one of the most optimistic ending I've seen to likes of True Decretive season 1 beautiful stuff also Manu Larcenet artwork will sit with me for awhile
@GraphicPolicy thanks bud! Appreciate your opinion. Might get the physical. Ha, little life story! So I'm 28 now, and about a week ago, I got myself into grapic novels, started reading the walking dead grapic novels, and im reading about 5 or more issues a day. So now it's my new thing, lol. I'm so annoyed with myself. I wish I had started years ago. Please can you recommend a few graphic novels to read. So far, I like anything post-apocalyptic, something f**ked up basically for auldts, great artwork, and maybe cyberpunk vibes (like Blade Runner, etc) If you have the time I really appreciate but thank you for your video!

The GN is good but McCarthy's prose is on another level.
