9,8 for that? A spring roll and a fluorescent red sweet and sour? Way too generous Lee in my humble opinion. Also, €35 with that view and temperature is a bit of a gift so i cant be doing with the "could be cheaper" part.
That pub singer was a treat - took me back to Las Americas in the 1990s. Not sure if im glad some of them survived or not lol. Onwards.
Having had non-bendy, non-battered sausages and chips for tea I now want Chinese. Actually there are Chinese restaurants all over the place so you could call it local cuisine.
Chicken sweet and sour is very nice with rice 'takeaway' lol glad you enjoyed your meal 9/10...

Love a Chinese in Tenerife. Got fond memories of one in Los Cristianos about 30 years ago. Think it was called the Oriental. Dunno if its still there or not
I agree, I prefer Coke Zero compared to the Coke Lite/Diet Coke, that stuff tastes like fizzy water

Absolutely love watching you guys we flew out the day you arrived😭 was asking after you in Tilly’s which we loved!! Seen Craic Master in Hemingways but was too shy to say hello 😂😂!! Ya man singing there on an afternoon is absolutely awful we’ve started to avoid that area that time of day spoils it for everyone!! This is our favourite Chinese on the island, no matter where we stay we always get a taxi to eat and watch the sun set over the bay. We spent a few night there on our last visit and took a wonder to Boulevard for a beer which DJ recommend.

Overseas restaurant Los Chritianos is the best Chinese restaurant on Tenerife
Maybe in the south Definately not in the whole of Tenerife. However it's over priced.

We were there a few weeks ago, brilliant food, did you know they do a special menu, starter, mains, dessert and bottle of wine for 14.95 euros. Fantastic value.
Mac I'm afraid your mate Craic is right, there is a world of difference between diet coke(light) and zero . They both taste crap on their own but when mixed with a JD the difference is night and day 👍
Most Chinese restaurants and takeaways in the UK, or Tenerife for that matter, serve Cantonese food and Westernised versions of Cantonese food at that. And Cantonese food is just a small part of the vast array of Chinese cuisines. I'm in no position to judge though as my go-to Chinese dish is Singapore noodles, a Cantonese creation that has nothing to do with Singapore! 🤣
Singapore noodles are made with curry, plus beef, pork, shrimp, vegetables, etc. The noodles are almost always chow mei fun (vermicelli-like). Once in a while I can get Singapore chow fun, with broad noodles, which is the first way I had them 40 years ago in Chinatown in NYC, and the way I still prefer. For some reason many places will only make it with chow mei fun noodles.
@@richardgelber2740 Interesting. Every place I've tried them seems to have a slightly different take on the recipe but one constant has always been rice vermicelli. I guess it's because that's what works but I'm sure they'd be great with egg noodles instead.

I’m a bit late watching this. Absolutely stunning sunny warm weather there in Tenerife. I cannot believe a four flight from the UK and you can be in a hot place like Tenerife. Wish I was there as I’m frozen to the bone here in Norfolk, England. Sweet and sour looked good Lee. Could have done without the entertainer on the other table though. Will watch next video later tonight.

Yeah, I couldn't agree more that there is a massive difference between Coke Zero and Diet Coke. Diet Coke has a sickeningly sweet aftertaste to it.

If you go up to Santa Cruz any time soon I would recommend Plaza 18 or the Gastro Pub next door to it for great tapas or fish dishes.

Don't complain about the singer/comedian as that is an icon of holidays in parts of Tenerife and Benidorm, to name a couple of places. If you don't like it, go somewhere else, which is what I do. I wouldn't dream of going there mainly because of that kind of singer. Although I do accept that many people do love places like that. Variety is the spice of life.
The sweet & sour chicken looked phenomenal but I wouldn’t have pineapple like on the other dish.
Coke Zero and Coke light are worlds apart. As is Diet Coke. The Craicmaster is right!
Coke Zero is way better than Diet Coke , Coke Zero tastes like original coke without the sugar and caffeine

The sweet and sour chicken looked lovely and is my go to dish,I've been in the Keg and Church next door and they usually have great acts on.
Coca‑Cola Zero Calories looks and tastes more like Coca‑Cola Original Taste without the calories, while Coca‑Cola Light has a different blend of flavours which gives it a lighter taste
Coke zero is definitely different, tastes less artificial than the other diet cokes/pepsi's. I prefer it to full fat coke anyday.
You must try Asmeda Chinese restaurant on the Los Cris/PDLA border. It is spectacular 👍👍👍

coke zero was added to make a "mens choice" as there was mostly woman who drank coke light as men mostly drank pepsi max.

I've made my way to 10 minutes into your video so I do not yet know the outcome of your meals etc. I sat in this restaurant 2 weeks ago and had some very tasty food. However, I suffered with some difficulty for the next two days which I think was their beer. Anyway, always a favourite of mine - lovely views, never busy during the day. A generally nice place to be. There is something of a local issue, namely that the pub thing next door now has some rather crass 'entertainment'. Don't know whether you experienced that but it did, for me, detract from the experience somewhat.

Was it the Sky bar ? a couple of years me and my son stayed in the Hotel Fanabi and went to The Sky bar for our Christmas Dinner It was Fab . Great meal and fantastic Entertainment . Unlike that slop they were eating.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Diet coke is another name for Coke light. The difference between Coke light and Coke zero, is that there is cafeïne in Coke light (but no sugar) and neither cafeïne nor sugar in Coke zero. Pepsi max is the equivalent of Coke light, so it does contain cafeïne, but no sugar.
No Coke Light in the U.S. However you can get Diet Coke with or without caffeine. Actually, caffeinated Diet Coke has more caffeine in a bottle than a cup of coffee has. Coke Zero (which can be hard to find) definitely has caffeine, and I don't remember whether I've seen non-caffeinated Coke Zero. Including cherry- varieties, etc., there are about a dozen variations, on the rare occasion that they're all in stock.
Lee, having lived in Hoboken for all those years, you know the Chinese food in the UK can't hold a candle to the Chinese food in New York, though I hear the Chinese food in Toronto is even better than NY!

Diet Coke tastes totally different to Coke Zero you can taste the sweetener in Diet Coke where Coke Zero tastes more like full fat Coke. Personally I prefer Diet Coke.
You should go to the savoy by h10 palmeras the Chinese is nice and u get 3 courses for 10.95 the peppered beef is lovely and the sweet and sour chicken for the price it's good
