I remember going to Edinburgh many years ago and asking for a full English at the hotel breakfast table. A very nice, yet knowledgeable lady put her pen and note pad down, instantly got my attention and funnily but with force informed me that this was a Full Scottish breakfast. The addition of haggis, a tatty scone and square sausage was great and one of the best I've had.
Hi Lee enjoyed your Scotch Corner breakfast review from Tenerife hope you don't mind 😋 you refer to sausage as flat sausage I'm from Scotland and we call it square sausage up here 😀 anyway onwards tc my friend enjoy your videos
Mister Macmaster breakfast a good score for what looked pretty good. What a great sight seeing blue skies and sunshine 🌞 again oh for spring time to come to the UK..excellent vlog with you both in top form 👍
Always go to scotch corner when over on tenerife ( we stay just down the hill) and never had a bad one there. Lovely place, lovely staff and excellent food.
The flat sausage is called a Lorne sausage. It's named after a piece of thick leather that my ancestors wore under their kilts, to protect the John Thomas and Conkers from being bitten by sneaky Haggis's that would hide in the heather as they went on their morning stroll around the mountains. The Haggis would jump up under their kilts and grab right onto the dangly parts. The leather square would protect it and they also covered in in drawing pins, facing away from the skin so it taught the cheeky Haggis to not do it again. True story....
Parts of the North of England were part of Scotland back in the day. And there are no beans on an official Scottish Breakfast; Scots refer to the flat sausage as a square slice.
Hi lee i must say your b rolls are fantastic and you and daniel are great fun together and your videos are far more than just food reviews they are brillianty put together
If your north of the border again please dont call a square sausage (lorne sausage) a flat sausage. Tip for you create a dirty roll with haggis square sausage and a tattie scone great hang over cure.
The flat sausage is called Lorne sausage - from Wiki What is Lorne made of? Image result for lorne sausage What is it made of? A Lorne sausage is traditionally made from a mixture of minced beef, rusk or fine breadcrumbs, and spices. Although beef has historically been the more common meat used for sausages in Scotland, pork could be used to make square sausages too!
Used Scotch Corner a few times when the previous owners had it. Fantastic Breakfasts in there. Last time but one when we were over there it was closed. When we were over last March it was back open with new owners who had also extended into the bar next door. Never tried the breakfasts in there though We either used Thirsty Turtle just round the corner from there, or the Turf Yard next to Bar Fresh, which has now closed down unfortunately.
Looked a good breakfast but needed tomato's as well 😁, re poodles Willie's, my good lady who worked in catering said you get the poodles Willie because the sausages are fried , not grilled or cooked in an oven 🤷🏼♂️ great vlog again with Daniel, and loved that Tim turned up too 👍🏻
Hey Lee! That’s controversial- an Englishman and an Irishman going to a Scottish named bar and establishment 🤣Very nice brekkie. Looked really good? Nice flat and normal sausage, tatties scone (potato cake to me), nice eggs beans and toast. Would have done without the black pudding 🤮 but that’s me. Nice to see Tim on his walkabout too. Take care 😘👍🏻
I guess you liked the square sausage better because they are mainly made from beef . Tattie scone looked slightly under but still excellent . As for the poodles Willy , just remember you are on a Canary Island .
Looked really nice to me. I’d go 9/10. Is the microwave issue just because of the wind blowing directly into it. The wind shield isn’t working properly. Anyway it didn’t really detract. I hear a lot of channels with the same issue. Nice one
I was there last week with two mates, if you haven't already try the skillet breakfast at the ginger pig over the road, really really good, 3 of us enjoyed it so much we went back for the same. We stayed at the Royal sunset beach club. Missing the sun.
Lorne sausage and Tattie scones, some Irish cafes would cert do the same that is where i had both items for the first time, they add white pudding same as Scotland also mmmmmmmmmm real nice, was half way across to castle bar when i had my first Irish breaky. why do they give the sausage with Lorne slice though, that is sausage meat also, you got a real winner there lee with that eggy toast, a lot of Irish cafes use chipolatas but that is a sausage.
Scotch Corner has nothing to do with Scotland or Tenerife , it's in Yorkshire 🤣 Obviously they have no connection with Scotland at all or the square sausage would have been called its true name of Lorne sausage 🤔 Great to see the black pudding and Tattie scone 👍 Shame there were no shrooms but prefer the Scottish version over our English as Tattie scones so much better than our controversial hash browns. Energy bills as high as they are now these winter breaks are going to become more popular and a cheaper way to keep warm 😎
That breakfast looked nice mate. Only thing missing I’d say is some fried bread but it looked decent for the price. I think your score of 8.5/10 was very fair so I’ll ho the same👍. I’ve now finally caught up with all your videos and looking forward to many more. Cheers mate👍
It did look good, though. It probably cost more to scramble an egg as they need to add milk and butter in order to scramble, but don't really know, but that's how I scramble my eggs. Yes an 8.5 is very fair.
Lol. 😂 love to. I reached out to him. He ain't interested. He learned what he needed to learn and moved on along with his ego. Hopefully one day he'll realise friendship is more important than views. 🕶️ I wish him all the best. 👍🏼
So here's an idea, Lee: The way you pile all those different things on your fork, you may as well put it all in a blender and call it "purée of breakfast"!
A Scottish breakfast is fried eggs potatoe scone black pudding haggis bacon Lorne sausage (square) beans tinned tomatoes fried bread toast and a mug of tea I would give that 6.
Square sausage not flat Lee. Looked decent enough with the tottie scone on there ...but a big slice of fried fruit pudding on there would have made it a 10
@@nicolamcgeachy1938 Beg to differ Nickki🧐 Fruit pudding looks nothing like dumpling. A completely different fried one of your five a day Scottish delicacy. Fruit pudding comes in a long roll like black pudding and sliced haggis. Dumpling however (and yes, fried it's delicious also, best dipped into a fried egg) comes in a big Hovis shaped loaf. The two also have a slightly different taste. One's more bready like a fruit loaf...the other, grey mush with sultanas and raisins in it. Unbelievable stuff. Lee you have Mac in your name and you don't know this stuff? Total amateur🤣
My 'controversial' t shirt arrived yesterday, great fitting and superb quality 👌 You'll have to try a battered Xmas pudding next time you visit the palms chippy.
Gotta make two comments lee. I think people are now losing touch with reality in regard to food prices and we are being diddled left right and centre!! 1. Price of the English and Scottish breakfasts seemed fair at today's prices BUT €3 for cereal. An expensive Kellogg's variety pack (at £2.50 for eight) works out at 32p per box of cereal. 2. FYI the Scotch corner roundabout (now interchange) is in North East England, as you head north on the A1M. It was or still is famous for the Scotch Corner Hotel. A short distance to the left is Richmond (N Yorks), Rishi Sunak's constituency and to right is Darlington. With it being in Yorkshire and getting very close to the County Durham border thought you would have heard of that one, although it's not famous for fish and chips!
Lee- Scotch breakfast loosed good in fact 1/2 decent BUT I’ll take a FULL ENGLISH anytime, just seems to be more included….So I’ll mark it a 8/10….Cheers, 😎👍🇨🇦

The flat sausage as you put it is known in Scoland as a square sausage or as a Lorne Sausage. For your info Lee.
Scotch corner is at the junction of the A1, and A66 near Catterick and just south of Darlington

Bonkers both of you.... but lovable along with Tim!!!
You boys are a riot. Very entertaining as always. Onwards.
Always go to scotch corner when over on tenerife ( we stay just down the hill) and never had a bad one there. Lovely place, lovely staff and excellent food.

Do they still do the massive scones?

Great to see you back happy days 👍

When we're in tenerife we always go to S C for a breakfast. Good value for money and great staff.

I once spent Christmas in Puerto de la Cruz and it rained every single day I was there !
When i was a kid growing up near Edinburgh some butchers used to do a round sausage which is just like the Lorne.
The flat sausage is called Lorne sausage - from Wiki

A very nice meal almost English, like that flat sausage does taste very nice, enjoy....
You 2 Guys are really Funny with each other 😉🙏🇮🇨
My fave cafe in Adeje......did a great veggie brekkie there when i went 2020 xx
Coming over end of the month shall be visiting apparently the Scottish breakfast at jags bar is good?

Used to visit a bar called "The Pub" in las Americas. Was owned by a bloke from worksop. Good times.
Lee, have you ever tried Bianco’s? We went last night and it was very nice 👌
The breakfast looked not bad. As Scottish, the Lorne Sausage aka square looked catering and to get a good meaty square come to Scotland.
You have got to go to the Bothy at Wentworth garden centre for your breakfast. It’s amazing. It’s near jct 36 M1.
Scottish sausage 😋 can't do black pudding but white pudding is nice 😋😋 nice toast 👍👍👍👍👍
Flat sausage??? There square slice sausage which come in 3 types steak, beef or lorne. Enjoy the trip mate.👍
Flat sausage a wiz like wft 🤣🤣🤣 clueless
You're breakfast looked really nice Lee.
I guess you liked the square sausage better because they are mainly made from beef . Tattie scone looked slightly under but still excellent . As for the poodles Willy , just remember you are on a Canary Island .
Love it. Your chat on a Sunday roast I have Tommy K on mine too love it. 😊
Had a full Irish breakfast in the Ginger pig across the road this morning lovely place too😊
Weather looks amazing in Tenerife ,looks more like july than December 🎅☀️
Scotch Corner is a service station on the A1 in North Yorkshire. Perhaps there’s a video idea there…
Looked really nice to me. I’d go 9/10. Is the microwave issue just because of the wind blowing directly into it. The wind shield isn’t working properly. Anyway it didn’t really detract. I hear a lot of channels with the same issue. Nice one
No the mic wire broke and it went to the internal mic. Ordered a new wire. It's just wear and tear. 👍🏼

Been going here for years and was in a few days ago. Decent enough brekky and good toastie with chips.
Looked a great breakfast, eggs spot on.
Had my eye on a bowl of honey nut cornflakes but just taken the bacon, sausages and black pudding etc out the freezer ready for Sunday morning !
Next time you’re up here in Scotland try a steak lorne sausage, not much more expensive but better meat.
The only Lorne I’ll bother with tbh
Well done Lee,all rhe best 👌
Try the breakfast at the winning post at garden City it’s fab and let me know😊
Scotch Corner has nothing to do with Scotland or Tenerife , it's in Yorkshire 🤣

Scotch corner is up the A1 then turn left on the A66 and then go up too Scotland
Always try to be nice online but did find it painful at:
'Flat Sausage' - during the tasting and at the end 😬
Square is the word or Lorne! 💙🏴
😉👍🏼❤️
Scotch corner is in Richmond in UK .
That breakfast looked nice mate. Only thing missing I’d say is some fried bread but it looked decent for the price. I think your score of 8.5/10 was very fair so I’ll ho the same👍.
I’ve now finally caught up with all your videos and looking forward to many more. Cheers mate👍
What a magnificent poodles Willy you got there🤣🤣
Looked a decent brekky to me, plenty of it, fresh cooked. But missing were plum tomatoes and mushies. From me a 8/10.
Beautiful 👌👍👏

Is it possible to get a griiled breakfast....we don't do fried.....due to stmach probs with us both?
Just out of curiosity hav'nt you filmed the Scotch Corner with the Knightstrider a few years ago...looks familiar
Pop a little sprinkle of salt in your eggs next time Mr. . . Then dippy toast 👍 great vlog M
Prefer beans seperate but looked ok..and you two are off your heads enjoyed it xx
square sausage is the best and so is polony mmmmm
It did look good, though. It probably cost more to scramble an egg as they need to add milk and butter in order to scramble, but don't really know, but that's how I scramble my eggs. Yes an 8.5 is very fair.

Craic - it’s Irish for “fun”.
There is a scotch corner in Knightsbridge very near Harrods
A Scottish breakfast is fried eggs potatoe scone black pudding haggis bacon Lorne sausage (square) beans tinned tomatoes fried bread toast and a mug of tea I would give that 6.
The boys are back in town, lol. Is Daniel feeling better? Or he's gone for a lie down now you've gone home.
LOL I think He needs to rest for when we meet again! lol
@@TheMacMaster lol still tired but looking forward to your next visit bro

Square sausage not flat Lee. Looked decent enough with the tottie scone on there ...but a big slice of fried fruit pudding on there would have made it a 10
