Roger uses it as a greeting, and Shanks uses it to say farewell. Also, Divine Departure is the first and only attack we've seen Roger use and is the first and so far only attack we've seen Shanks use too.

This makes me wonder, how fast is Shanks? Bro jumped from his ship all the way to Kid's ship in what seemed like seconds before one shotting him before Kid could react.

In film red he completely blitzed kizaru and even easily deflected all his light beams, and this was shanks after fighting tots musica
He's hella fast, we saw that much on Marineford, not only him, but Benn Beckman too, both of them caught an admiral off guard and didn't even break a sweat. But Benn especially, dude got off his ship, climbed up another god damn ship (no DF mind you), and took a comfy little seat there pointing a gun at an ADMIRAL, and then goes to click it to make his presence known.
I think everyone in that crew can do that. Shanks probably has his crew race each other.

I noticed you left out the scenes involving Shanks' subordinates. His actions may seem brutal, but those scenes revealed that he saw them literally being torn apart in his future vision by Kid's attack. He had no other option, it was whup Kid or see his friends die in front of his eyes...

Even luffy's weakest opponents were not humiliated like this💀 they atleast managed to land a blow before getting destroyed in one punch
Shanks didn't even give a single chance for eustass kid to try anything. But it's also a good display of power though, for someone like shanks who is believed to have the strongest haki. This chapter justifies that claim and we all love it🤍

@@Yoruharu yeah you're somehow right about that. Buggy himself is the proof of how inaccurate bounties could be😂. I also think 3 billion bounty of kidd is too much since it's same bounty as luffy who is stronger than him. And zoro who might be as strong as kidd has only 1.5 bill bounty.
But seting that aside, kidd is still no joke when it comes to power and combat abilities. Prolly anyone below admiral level won't be able to bring him down anymore

And although their animation obviously has a lot more budget, I think your direction and pacing of the action was so much better then what the anime, that I actually still prefer your version.

I love how kid is basically Luffy in his first encounter w kaido but the difference is that shanks isn't kaido and he doesn't underestimate anybody
Now that we are approaching this part in anime, i hope anime doesnt stretch the fight out like they did with luffy vs kaido round 1.
In manga, kaido slapped away luffy like a mosquito in drunk state.
In anime they made it seem like luffy landed solid hits on kaido and then kaido used some force to swap luffy away. Took the fun out of it.
Shanks vs kidd fight is simply 2 manga panels and i hope they animate this in just 15 seconds max. No unnecessary bullshit.

i don't think he's really aiming for the title, roger probably told him to find and to support the new joy boy (luffy). the real enemy on this series is not even blackbeard, its obviously imu.
I think shanks has already surpassed Roger (his sensei). And he isn't really interested in pirate king title. He is just interested in luffy.

@@Fade-aways I meant the scene where Shanks was standing on the ship then left the ship. Without this scene, the transition to the Giants' attack awkward as it implies the Giants attacked the ship while Shanks is on it.
