The new spotlight system on the barge is awesome. Go Steve!

The horder in me cries everytime you throw away components or things you could disassemble.

Interesting you say that (and I'm not saying you're wrong), I feel the opposite. Yes, it's a little annoying when I run out of something like glass, especially when I just dropped 100 of them, but sometimes I think I spend to much time grinding down stuff. I've got more computers than I could possibly ever need and the stockpile of sensor comps are just ridiculous, yet I still grabbing them.

Hi W, I approve of the lighting and adding in hinges helps tremendously. Splitsie has a school bus with large wheels.

Good suggestion on the lighting, it's changed from barely seeing were I was going, to a full on mobile lighting plant, makes night salvage a viable option now, although still trying to stick to daytime flights.

awesome looks great like the rocket booster idea

Your rocket is sort of mauve but sort of violet colored. "The Valiant Violet" Valiant = boldly courageous, showing bravery or valor, heroic Violet = Light purple, mauve color. Sort works out to being the Purple Hero.

I like the Valiant Violet, better than my alternative of Lavender Lifter.

Curious to see how the rocket ship turns out. Please rethink the purple color. It looked great in the gray that you had originally. Very industrial in design. Also would like to see the habitat finished.

Part of me agrees about the colour, the battered gray is my style, but just trying to go out of my comfort zone.

just dropping a comment about the hydro thruster you struggled to remove from the wreck while trying to hack it, a hydro thruster cannot be hacked, as it has no computers, the problem was the GRID was unfriendly, made so by the small battery left inside, that you hadn't hacked, only things with computers in their components can be hacked like that, thrusters are decided by the other blocks that have computers, such as batteries, cockpits, turrets, cargo containers, etc.
This is a vanilla mechanic, it sucks for capturing ships in vanilla, as you have to hunt down every computer containing block in the ship to claim it, but thats just how advanced welding handles cutting blocks off, if an enemy owns the grid (even a single computer-containing block) you cannot remove blocks with the separation keybind. Hope it helps in future space engineers stuff!

Thanks Hybrid. Yeah, I've had the same trouble with wheels. I do know to hack a cockpit, then go in and try to take ownership of everything, there's usually one or two blocks with computers still left to do, but for the most part normally works. It's just sometimes my brain no remember to good about such things I don't do everyday.

@@Wellington6012 No problem man, I was just sharing information in case you didn't know it, the vanilla takeover mechanics are really niche and annoying to deal with if you don't know how it works, I'll have to do some personal testing as to what blocks with computers actually matter towards ownership, but as a rule of thumb, just hack anything that has a hack line in the % bar, if it doesn't have a hack line, it shouldn't contribute to ownership, as far as I'm aware

@@hybridsel6 I always appreciate the comments, as I do miss/forget stuff. In recent series, whenever hacking has been 'a thing', I've tended to use the hack computer mod, so a little out of practice with vanilla hack of entire grids.

That is a bit overkill on the hydrogen tanks for your rocket. I use less than 20% of one of those tanks to get loads into orbit and back in my Far from Home playthrough.

I tend to agree, ascetics got the better of me, now I don't actually have any tanks left for the shuttle bit. I was kind of thinking the large grid tanks will go up into orbit for some sort of base or station, so the booster might do a tanker role, but not sure. Covering my bases for what might be to come.
